I just keep seeing things about us giving away our MVP and yet i have not seen him mentioned in anything, and i think our sacks have come (at least one) by Jay Williams.

I think this was posted earlier today as well....He has done nada,zippo,zilch...like I said in the other thread...if he flops over there, Speilman will look like a genius.

My cousin is a huge bear fan and he is very happy with the Ogun trade, he said that they did not run much on his side and when they did they were not getting much also he also said that Ogun pressured Brett pretty well. the question is has Booker done anything?

I think it may be a little unfair to judge Booker at this point...its kind of hard for a QB to hit his wide receivers throwing from his azz.

Booker has done more than O-Gun. Receiver who has caught balls. Sack-specialist DE with a goose-egg through 2

*sigh* how many of these threads are we going to have and how many times does it have to be said its too early to make these kind of judgements. JT had a real slow start last year and then finished strong getting most of his sacks later in the season. Just because Ogun hasnt gotten any sacks in the 1st game doesnt mean he is a scrub.

Spot on.Hes a player and will show up soon in the stats.

Another thing.Booker has not shown much.On a couple of occasions he has run routes just short of the first down marker just like a rookie would do.

i'm thinking the chicago bears are missing him:D :roflmao:

Ogunleye aint $hit, I would much rather have Marty Booker and Lamar Gordon than him. Yeah he had 9 sackes in 2002 nad 15 last year. remember all of the guys that have started next to JT that looked so good when they were here.

Lorenzo Bromell-Signed with the Vikings, never played like he did here, now out of the NFL.
Rich Owens-played 2 uneventful seasons with KC, out of the NFL
Trace Armstrong-at Oakland, injured a lot, but nothing special when he has played
Kenny Mixon- best of them, still starting in minnesota, good DE but not worth the money he got from the Vikings
Ogunleye wont make another pro bowl or ever make the Dolphins regret the trade. MARK MY WORDS

Jason Taylor has proved he is incredible. There should be no doubts there.

Ogun is different than Mixon or Bromell.... each were hired at 1 to 1.5. per year. But neither had been anything exceptional.

From my Bear fan friends, I understand that Ogun is doing just fine. However, they are truly missing Marty Booker at WR. David Terrell hasn't stepped up like they thought - I understand he's had a lot of drops.

As for Booker - I liked what I saw in the last pre-season game... but he looks lost out there the last two weeks.

I still think it was a good trade... there's a great chance Ogun would still be sittin' on the couch and not in camp, and he would hold us no value at the end of the season (after coming in in week 10) when he becomes a free agent.

With the negatives of losing four players in the Ricky Williams trade (two firsts, a fourth and a starting RB) - this is at least a trade in the right direction.

Marty Booker is a wonderful player, but it's not fair to make a comment about O-Gun when Booker hasn't done anything either.

Sorry, but until we see what Booker is fully capable of as a Fin and Wale is fully capable of as a Bear(you choose - you can use Lamar Gordon in here or whoever we pick in the 3rd next year)...I'm not saying sh*t.
