Do any real Dolfans believe the Dolphins will be able to attract any decent free agents with this Clownage setup of a power structure?
I mean REALLY? The only way would be to back up Ross' Brinks truck like they did for the one-trick, 9-rout stone hands, body catcher Wallace?
Example:

Free Agent: "Hey, Miami's acting REALLY interested in me. South Beach, No state tax, Sun & Fun, instant starter. Seems like a no brainer."
Player's Agent: "If you want to really play in Florida, I'll work Tampa Bay, or if you're REALLY serious about living in Florida, I'll talk to Jacksonville. If you want the Dolphins, you have no brain."

Hurts to even write it; but the Dolphins are the laughing stock of the NFL right now; and are doing very little to change that perception. Lightning has to strike somewhere; and stranger things have happened; but not sure any rational fans believe the Dolphins are going forward from these moves.

Lazor may be great, Hickey may get lucky in the draft, just don't see any decent FA's wanting to come to the Miami Circus.

Tell me all the reasons I'm wrong.:err:

If they like money and want to get paid yes they will will come.

Yall wanted Ireland gone so bad, only to still be upset about his replacement? U gotta laugh to keep from crying at this point.

Took a shower and came back to 61 mentions about the GM. Probably all negative. Smh

At this point, I am for resigning mckinney and Clabo for cheap (about 6-7 mil for both) and drafting their replacements.

Those guys will stay and Joe might actually want to keep them because they would be cheap and it takes pressure off the new guy. At the same time, we can score on this deep TE and DT draft.

This was said about Ireland yet they signed. Get over yourselves already.

Yeah...everybody gets the money thing. but that's not the point. the point is either the Dolphins will have to overpay for the same talent or even inferior talent (can you say Wheeler) to get players. Which means that either the Dolphins will be blowing cap cash that other teams don't or they don't get the players they really want.

How many players went to NE over the years just to play for Belecheat for at or near the vet minimum for the HOPE of winning. Dolphins aren't going to get that. The Dolphins better HOPE this Front Office setup works or they will be an even greater laughing stock than they are now.

Calm down! We didn't have a shortage of FA's come our way last year and I can't imagine that will happen this year either.

Not sure free agents are really going to care about how the GM search went down. As long as they get their money and Hickey isn't a jerk, players will come.

Are we willing to pay them more than other teams? If yes, they will come. If no, they will not come.

Same as always.

This thread is ridiculous. Players will go where they will play and get paid. Miami is just short of the playoffs and in a position to get better. Unless a player has ties to a community, gets offered a ton of money, or the team has a direct chance at a Super Bowl Miami will get considered just like anyone else.

I almost feel sorry for your naivity. UFA's almost always chase the money. Do you honestly think they care/know who the GM is?
