At this point isn't it safe to say, for the most part, we've won despite Joey Harrington, not because of him? He wasn't asked to do anything more than not turn the ball over against the Pats and that's what he did. Once again, our defense was absolutely incredible. They handed Brady the worst game of his career. JT was unstoppable.

When Joey isn't asked to do anything more than not turn the ball over, he's fine. When we need him to score, generally he commits game ending turnovers. He's not a good starting qb and this season doesn't suggest he ever will be.

In fact, the numbers suggest that Daunte would be every bit as good as JH has been, probably better despite only being 50%. For his own health, I'm glad he was yanked, but most of the 80 sacks had very little to do with him and he was far more accurate than JH has ever been.

I disagree. There's a post about an article on Joey in the USA Today. The quote that really stuck out is that Joey is learning that he doesn't have to "break the bank" on every play (i.e. Score). I think he is gradually improving and growing comfortable in Miami, something he was never able to pull off in Detroit.

And I don't think Daunte could be playing as well as Joey right now, or he'd be in there instead of on IR and out for the season (and playoffs). Joey is our guy now, and I think he has a great possibility to be the guy for a few more years.

Daunte was more effective than JH has been as the starter. And I don't think you are right. Daunte is on IR and hasn't played because with any further damage he's definitely and unquivocably going to be unable to play again.

The difference has been the rest of the team. Besides Detroit, show me a game where Joey's contributions were the difference between us winning and losing. Against Jacksonville, he was absolutely terrible. There wasn't any improvement, there was serious regression.

The USA today article was written by someone that hasn't watched the guy play week in and week out like the fans on this site. I don't hate him, but I take him for what he is, no better than Jay Fiedler and in many situations.....worse.

He has won 5 of the last 6 games. no way we could have won them with a bad qb. as long as he keeps winning, he may also be taken as the future qb of the franchise(no kidding). the last 3 games of the season will be his real tests to know how good he can be. if he wins out it will be very difficult for saban to bench him in favor of c-pep next season(specially if we make it to the playoffs)

all im goona say is when the bucs won the sb all BJ did was manage the game and get the ball to KM and KJ. Thier defense did the rest! I thinks thats really all we need and we have proved that without a standout QB we can win! and i kno this is wut we did with fiedler all those years but harrington can actually throw the ball not throw up lil lolly pops that nate clements loves to pick off!
Also i herd no i dont have a link but my friend at school Jack his dad is associated with the phins front office and he said his dad told him a rumor that we might possibly think about shoping DC if Harrington looks absolutly amazing in the last three games!!!! so thats alot of stuff that it relies on!

yea we won despite harrington.....good thing the team bailed out joey against the Pats....whew....thank goodness

the joey hating sickens me

I think Joey is awsome i would rather have him behind center then anyone else in the NFL and dont say it was just the D that won those games im so sick of you people saying the D won Joey helped win those games too and so did the rest of the O

He's not bad. You can win with Joey which is something to be said in the NFL.

Now championship caliber? not too sure

Joey aint gonna be the guy here in miami for the next few yrs, and ill tell ya why,Nick is under some pressure to take the dolphins to the big dance.Joey dont get his groove on like c-pep does.If the phins wanna win the superbowl it wont be with the joey thats qbing here in miami today. Joey still needs to learn to dance, without missing a move, and he aint ready yet.

i agree 100%

Joey is doing a good job of turning his career around, he's become a much better QB than he was in his first start here against the Pats, he's still improving, who knows how good he will end up being but we are winning games pretty consistently with him so i dont see any reason to complain.
