The one thing I hated about Wanny was the way he never held anyone accountable for mistakes and poor play. That's why is players and coaches were not diciplined. Week after week our special teams would get holding penalties and it seems nothing ever got fixed. A corner would give up a big play wanny would just stand there clapping. Fiedler would give away a game with an Int and Wanny would just run his fingers through his hair. He never showed any fire or emotion and thats how the team played. Does anyone think Saban will get in a players face or bench a player that screws up instead of not holding anyone accountable like Wanny did because that really burned me up that there were never reprocutions for poor play? :yell:

One word: Yes!

Saban is known for easily getting mad and getting his point across. He will not lose the team like Wanny did.

Might be a little harder to pass that sense of accountability on to the players when they look across the room and see Ricky Williams sitting there.
:yeahthat: :yeahthat:

I have to admit between picking up some questionable characters and letting Ricky comeback, Saban might have a credibility problem if things go south early in the season.

Simply put, yes. However, consider Ricky will have to do a little bit more than just show up 3 days late at training camp. There is going to be a process to it, probably mediated by Saban. Also, Ricky has Marino in his corner, who publically defended Ricky to a degree. I trust Saban on this one and I'm confident it will work out. Too many guys are buying into his program and are ready to move on from the debacle we had last year. Note: I also trust Saban will be the 1st to pull the plug, if he feels the team is divided because of Ricky's return, especially when we have Brown.

The team isn't going to be divided by Ricky. Time to throw that nonsense to the wayside. If anyone gets upset about anything I think it would be Ricky and that in it self would spell the end for him. Somehow I think that will never happen. I seriously think the Phins will have a productive season.

<Sarcasm>No way, I mean how is he even a coach. Sheesh How can he have acountant ability with football players? </Sarcasm>

use sabans christmas lights analogy. the tree looks like crap if a light is out so the team must be perfect. if players aren't accountable then they will be cut thats it. It won't matter what your past is or what you do off the field.

I didn't want to turn this about Ricky. The main thing I think I have a complaint with is Keith Armstrong. He's not a good coach. If ST doesn't do well early on, Saban needs to boot him. Wes Welker alone saved his sorry hide. The penalties on them was rediculous.

You don't think Ricky is being held accountable for his actions? Maybe you should have stated, "Might be a little harder to pass that sense of accountability on to the players when they look across the room and see Ricky Williams sitting there ON THE BENCH FOR THE FIRST 4 GAMES."
Ricky will prove his worth on the field.

Ronnie Brown's play will keep Ricky there on the bench for the remaining 12.
