Hi Guys,

like most of you, i wonder why the fins try to trade (and maybe cut, if there is no trade) Marty Booker. He was the best receiver on the team last year. The only reason is a salary cap move. Now i wonder why they try to create more cap space although they already have enough to sign all rookies.

The only thing i can think of is, that they plan to add Green and keep Culpepper. Then they draft a young QB on the first (or even on the second) day. In that szenario, they can keep the best three QBs for the season and when CPep is healthy, he could be one of them. It would be a shame if the fins release him this early. Maybe he can recover an be the QB erverybody wants.

What do you think?

It has nothing to do with Daunte. Miami wants more speed at WR. Daunte doesn't appear to fit in their plans. He has played his last down for the Phins.

Maybe we they are making a move for FANECA. Nothing could be better for the fins. Teams with top 3 defenses and strong offensive lines go to the playoffs.

I would go so far as to say that if the Dolphins somehow acquire Alan Faneca it won't even matter who the QB is. Gimpy or Lemon or Gibran could all take us to the playoffs with a strong OL and a top defense.

Wow, that would be awesome. Not going to happen though. Too much money for Gaurds these days but Bookers price tag does play into that theory.

where did you hear Alan Faneca was available?? it would be a great pickup if we could get him

Bookers cap number is not really that high... i think its just more revamping of the offense by Cameron... regardless of how good you think booker is, we dont know what Cam thinks of him, and thats all that matters...

Gotta love trading a decent Wr with value for a 37 year old Qb.

First of all Welker was our best wr. Second the only reason booker looked decent is because chambers got so much attention. We should have kept ogunleye and I for one think book is overpayed and is overdue for a departure.

The reason Booker is being traded hit me like a Hurricane today. First, we trade with KC for Trent Green and send a draft pick-6th this year, and a next year draft pick. Then we trade Daunte to Oakland for either Jerry Porter or Randy Moss. Oakland then picks Calvin Johnson in the first round and then takes a QB in the second round. We then have a new QB-Trent Green, and new fast WR in Randy Moss or Jerry Porter. We take a OT in the first round either Levi Brown or Joe Staley. Then with our Second pick we take a QB-John Beck. This is the only way we would get rid of a starting WR like Booker. We already paid his bonus, and Hagan has potential but would you like him to start right now. Rookie WRs usually takes a year or so to start, so drafting one would be like playing craps in Las Vegas.

Let's hope he is. I know he wants Calvin Johnson. With the luxury of two WR in Moss & Porter...He has to give one up to get Johnson...Who is being called the best player in the last 10 years...We will see. Have a good one.

I really don't think anyone wants DC on their roster at this point and may not see himself on another roster until he shows the knee is ready. From all the reports that I have heard, the knee doesn't look too good. I think it is not healing the way everyone thought it would.
