I find myself wondering, with the Bounty scandal going on and all the talk of the Saints possibly losing picks this year as well as next years 1st rounder.
Do the Redskins possibly lose next years first round pick? If that would happen they would be unable to trade the Rams two first round picks which would kill their chances of landing RGIII. Maybe I am dreaming, but I like RGIII and I truly think if the Redskins do get severe discipline it would hurt their chances of landing him! It also would lower the asking price a little bit as one more suitor would be out.

Say Manning spurns us and goes to Seattle or Arizona. Flynn goes to Cleveland. Then there is really not much competition left for RGIII.

I would not be upset if we get Manning either. Flynn I like but do have my doubts. What are your thoughts?

If Flynn signs with Cleveland, that could open the door for us. Fisher has to be reasonable too.

I cannot see how Manning would be happy in Seattle or Arizona. Rainy and cold Seattle, or the desert? Both of those franchises are back water locations. I don't see the appeal.
We have a pretty good team and Manning likes the south Florida area. If he leaves Indy, it will be for south Florida.

Not sure that Washington would lose picks. Did the league say others would pay a price?

I think either way, Ireland and co. have a plan and will follow it. Manning, then Flynn, then RG3.

ESPN says the NFL has not said yet if the Redskins will be held accountable so it is possible they will be.

I agree they have their order and whoever they get I hope works out for us!

You gotta admit It would be kinda bulls**t if the Redskins have to pay a penalty for something an assistant coach did years ago. If anything did happen in Washington while he was there that should just increase any punishment that comes against Williams. For the Redskins to get penalized now for this would be like the NFL finding out today that Saban did something against the rules back in 2006 and us losing picks this year for it.

Call me crazy, but don't count out Jacksonville. Jacksonville has a new owner who wants to build through the draft. If he wants to put butts in the seats and build through the draft...RG3 is perfect for them. And my extreme wildcard pick would be Oakland. They'd have to craft up a very creative deal involving players and future draft picks, but Palmer didn't pan out very well "yet". Jason Campbell is leaving. Hue Jackson who was the big supporter of Palmer is now gone. The Raiders LOVE speed. I wonder if they're the mystery team contacting the Rams.

Oakland has no chance they are devoid of picks. They would have to give up like six damn good players to have a chance.

I'd be surprised if Washington got hit now for something that happened a few years ago. The Saints and Williams himself are probably the only ones who are going to get hit with anything...

St. Louis could pick RGIII, and trade his rights to another team.

i dont think it will come to that, There is a lot of time to pass and you can put your money on somebody making a trade for that pick

Williams has been summoned to the league office tommorrow. There are reports from Washington Post that there are players who have stated that such a system did indeed happen. Bills Coy Wire admitted that they had on in Buffalo along with a couple of others.

This is serious stuff. As mentioned before, the league may take away a lower pick, which then can kill a trade with St louis should it be multiple lower round picks becuase then they wont want to trade them. Washington may go heavy for Peyton. Gregg Williams is bad karma.

It could def make a difference. Personally I think the Vikings could really be the trade partner. I dont know why all the hype with Rams. It seems more logical that people trade with the Vikings. Rams will not be picking RG3, it just makes no sense to get him and try to trade. WAY too much risk. So Clev and Wash can sit back and try to trade with the Vikings. Both teams would give up less. Vikings dont need a QB.

I personally think Vikings make the trade and Rams pick at 2.

Well, just like I said about Mr. Young in the above link, and was/am correct BTW, RG III is gonna flop. To be a long term, successful QB in the NFL, you gotta be a pocket passer. RG III is a gimmick, just like all these other "athletic" QB's everyone loves. Most do more harm than good, by taking the ball out of 5 other skill player's hands on the field every other play. I hope we miss him, or pass him up. Whatever gets us somewhere with a real QB, not a running back chucking ducks downfield, killing our 2 minute gameplans, and devouring our salary cap.
