[SIZE=-1]The New York Football Giants overlooked Eli's accuracy problems because of the hype (Manning bloodlines) and have a woefully inconsistent QB.

What does this have to do with the Miami Dolphins? Just another Brady Quinn bash thread? Thanks, like we haven't had enough of these from you fans on denial.

This could be exactly the case.

I believe Quinn will be a "good" QB, but not elite...
In other words: I think he'll be in the 2nd quartile, so to speak (ie, between 9-16th best QB).

Beck, I believe, has the potential to be a Top 8 QB (top quartile)....
Not necessarily a top 3-4, but a VERY GOOD 4-8 range...

We r Dolphins fans so we care about that b-cause??????????

Manning isn't that bad of a QB. Everyone makes it seem so much worse than it is because he's not Peyton. It's funny that you compare him to Eli because they kind of the same. Both QBs that got alot of hype because of their pedigree(Quinn=Charlie Weis, Ely=Peyton and Archie).

I support the motion that any Brady Quinn talk be done else where, not in the Phins forum.
If you want to talk about Beck, go right ahead.

IMO Eli gets bashed unfairly in the media.

It's not his fault when the WO stops his pattern short, or when the Giants D just disappears which happens plenty of times to them. It's a TEAM sport.

The QB gets too much blame when teams don't win, especially up there in NY but all things aside I don't think Quinn will be anywhere near as good as Eli...

Eli has a MUCH better arm, MUCH better mechanics, & had a better record in college in big games and seems to me to be much more mature & focused.

dolphins did not make a mistake! why the reminder?

P.S. Eli is crap and will always be in his bro shadow, til he realize he is eli. the sorry qb.

eli is not as sorry as the media portray him to be. They just compare him to his brother way too much and they expect both of them to be similar

Eli gets bashed because he hasn't lived up to the hype. Read his press clippings before the draft. Perhaps the expectations were unrealistic, but he hasn't come close to reaching them.

Sports writers are usually clueless, but you're right.

It was the press & that whole ESPN multibillion dollar hype machine that had all of our fans here so freaked out on draft day...

It's better to get a 2nd round QB anyway, it lowers the expectations a little...

I thought Leinart & Cutler both did very well last year, despite what the press said...

i don't watch much nfc games but the 1's i see eli play, he spends half the game like a deer in front of head light (throwing off the back foot, squeezing throws in small windows, etc) and the other half on a must-make-throws-to win mode (intelligent mobility, hustle, better accuracy downfeild, etc) which make him look bad in my eyes. i know with the years of exp will mold him to be better. but he looks like he trying to compete now vs. his bro........just my opinion

last year you couldn't go wrong with of the quaterbacks.

While the bashing is getting a bit tiresome seeing as how we wont know anything for a few years in all likelyhood, isn't the is the "General NFL Forum"? Isn't this the place we discuss issues with other teams and their players?
