Seems as if everyone has the opinion that the guy isn't talented at all.

I'm curious to see what he can do after he gets a chance to learn the offense.

Cleo Lemon was an undrafted free agent 2 years agos who then ended up on San Diego's practice squad. Undrafted. Remember Mr. Insignificant, the last player taken in the draft? Well, Cleo wasn't as good as that guy, according to NFL scouts and head coaches. Do I think Lemon has a chance to be our starting qb of the future? In a word, No.

Out of college Kurt Warner was undrafted, He went to the arena league for 2 years and proceeded to light the NFL on fire a few years before getting injured

where you are drafted doesnt matter

EDIT: And Id hardly say anyone thinks warner turned out worse than Mr. Insignificant

Really? Seeing that Coach Saban is a guy who pulls no punches, why would he even bring in someone who has no chance, plus give away a draft pick for him? I think there's more to this story, and it's being kept under wraps for fear of the rest of the NFL reading it!!

Doubt it, this was just a cute way to get rid of the cap hit on AJ Feeley!

Guess who else on our teams was in the same situation, Wes Welker... so I guess that means he's a no talent as well huh

I'm interested to see what he can do in preseason, he can't be any worse than who he replaced (Feeley).

We wont see this guy until preseason. Until then, none of us have any real info on this guy.

Seems to be a forgotten man in all this. Unless we part ways with Gus Frerotte, if the coaching staff likes Cleo Lemon then I'm not sure I see them getting a FA quarterback.

Gus Frerotte, Cleo Lemon, and a high round QB would constitute a nicely put-together QB backfield. But, I'm not sure I see us getting a high round guy. Frerotte, Lemon, and a low round guy would seem a bit like "more of the same" to me.

You cut feeley you get rid of more cap and dont lose a draft pick

If we outright cut him his cap hit would've actually been more.

cleo lemon has some talent. Can he be the next starter who knows but he is not insignificant. I have watched him play on two occasions which I admit is not alot but on both occasions he outplayed both san diego qbs and the opposing qb. yes it was against the scrubs but hey he is a scrub so it was equal footing. Don't be surprised to see Cleo starting next year. He was exciting to watch, made some awesome long ball throws and didn't miss a pass. I think he went 12 for 12 not bad even for a scrub. He was also very mobile. A good athlete. I would say in the Mc nabb stlye of play or maybe Culpepper.

Don't forget, we also traded a 6th rounder for Lemon. He must be worth something to Mueller and Saban!

It's not entirely impossible. Mueller did "discover" (sort of) Aaron Brooks, and he had himself some pretty decent seasons. Sometimes you never know until it steps out on the field.

Maybe they think they've addressed the QB situation and are going to focus elsewhere...who knows...
