it looks like cutlers mechanics are sloppy so he may need some extra time to tweak that....

and i dont know of a vid online but he should be in the senior bowl u could check him out there

I dont think we would start any rookie next year regardless of who it is. I think when saban gets a guy he will do what the bengals did with carson and let him develope and learn. I think Cutler has the talent to come out and play rather quickly even with his mechanics. There not perfect but I think its a way overrated subject regarding cutler b/chis mechanics aren't terrible and he has as much physical tools as any other qb to make up for it. *Granted they do need work*

If the Fins were to Roethlisberger him, I think it's a possibility, however, I'd rather him get a year or so to finetune his talent. I think he could handle being a guy that handed the ball off 40 times a game and threw it 20 times a game, but I don't think I'd really throw him to the wolves off the bat like that.

I think he meant like limiting the QB to only haveing to throw a very limited amount... and just pound the ball over and over again, while not asking much from the rookie QB.

If we did that, I would call it Rothlisbergering...

IF Ferrotte finishes 5-1 ... it is VERY DOUBTFUL that he wouldn't be the starter next year ......

We'll see what the next 3 games bring ....

Ferrotte is doing now what most of us said he would do ... just enough for us to win .. not flashy, average, but can manage the game and not make mistakes ...

If you have any designs on the playoffs next year ... it can't be a ROOKIE ... not even Roethlisberger. Not in a Linehan offense !!

That and I believe that that goes against Saban's style ... he won't toss a ROOKIE in, unless he HAS to .... he likes to nurture players into his system and the league.

How many teams has Frerotte led to playoffs? Probably the same as Cutler.
Roth did a god job with good players. Most rookie Qb;s dont do well because they play for awful teams that chose them. Most good teams don't have mediocre QB playing for them on a year by year basis.
