Hickey is a first time GM, Philbin has not proven anything, Lazor is a first time OC, and Coyle has made some questionable decisions.

On the player's side, Grimes was Great, can he repeat? Wake had a few injury issues, and is getting older, Starks had a Great year but lost Soliai, and even Fields had a couple of below his average games. IMO, everyone else has room to improve, some MUCH ore than others.

Not sure if this is a good or bad thing. I would to have more guys with proven, consistent, track records but,we are who we are.

32 teams are going into this season with lots of question marks, doesn't matter how talented a roster you have. You see big time winners from the previous year fall on their face the next, and losers do the opposite every single new league year. Here's to hoping the 'Fins can finally be one of those "worst to first" stories.

Grimes , Starks , Odrick , Wake on defense. Clay , Hartline and Albert on offense.

i think we know what to expect from these players. Everyone else has some kind of question mark.
Probably the same for most teams that did not make the playoffs.

You pretty much had most of my questions, but I want to know if R. Jones is going to show up this season. He has been M.I.A. for a good while now. Which backup TE will be productive behind Clay? Since Miller is getting most of the action, will he be able to carry us? And can our OL gel quick enough to be better than what we had last year?

There are always question marks, this goes for most teams. Injuries, poor coaching, can deal a team a poor hand and end the season real quick.

For this upcoming year, I think the Fins got better but adjustments, health, players playing, will dictate what they do and how far they go. We have seen the light of the playoffs recently and failed...on paper we look better but how we perform is to be seen. On a side note, until we whip NE and NYJ consistantly, we will be watching other teams playoff weekends.

If you go by players who have had two good years in a row, it would dwindle to Starks, Wake, Hartline, and maybe Albert if you don't count missing 4 games in each of the last 2 years, and not blocking well on the run.

when you haven't had a winning season since 2008, haven't won a playoff game since 2001, and haven't been a real contender since 1994, burned through 17 QBs, 7 head coaches since 1996... etc etc etc, you should expect everything and everyone in the organization to have "questions." The fans have a right to have questions and the only way to answer our questions is with performance and Wins in the post season.

You could look at every NFL roster and come up with a question for every player in this league.

To a degree but, top to bottom, few teams has as many as our Dolphins. I see the difference in Miami having sooo many who can improve to varying extents. Hell, if only half take another step, we are gonna be damn good.

It appears your questioning the coaches. Philbin looseing the those last 2 games last years created a sour note and the defense appeared to slip under coyle overall especially against the run. So those 2 coaches appear to have created skepitism. Regarding the other individuals you mentioned I believe that among the fans there is more optomism than skepitism. Ireland was a old shoe and even Hickey coming over from the doormat Bucs still appeared refreshing in comparison, Sherman more of the same thing and you have to figure if the QB and his coach cannot win at the college level how are they going to fare in the NFL and Lazor came from a winning program last year so that helps.

Wide Recievers appear that they could be a strength
Quarterbacking is hopeful and somewhat questionable
Tight ends hopeful and should be better overall
Running Backs fairly questionable at this point. They were not good this year could be more of the same.
Offensive line will be really hard to know lots and lots of questions could be medocre or poor with so many new faces

Defensive line compared to last year questionable with Paul S not here to help stop the run
Linebacking was poor last year so hope for average this year with moving players around
Defensive Backfield questinable with new faces they played well last year overall
Special Teams Sturgis fell apart a bit at the end so questionable

QB R. Tannahill can he get the ball out quicker
Offensive line can they give Tanny enough time to get the ball out and create holes for the running game
Running Back can Moreno get in shape quick enough and provide a between the tackle runner
Tight End can the next tight end step up and Clay stay on track
Wide Reciever Lots of depth and probably talent area of the team can they step up. Wallace should improve and Laundry should become a weapon too.

Defensive line Starks and Wake are getting a bit older but can Jordan fill that gap and take it up a notch but who is goint to stop the run in the middle.
Linebacking Msi experiment makes sense but will he stay healthy and if not can the rookie linbacker from Montana fill the gap and can Jenkins the linbacker from Fla take the job from Wheeler. We need some luck and help here for sure.
Defeinsve Back - Grimes needs to continue his play from last year, Jones needs to rebound from a subpar year, last years rookies from last year Davis and Taylor need to stay healthy and Finegan and the other old safty need to show that they can stay healthy.

Special Team Fields had been our more consitent weapon on the entire team and Sturgis was diappointiing can he rebound.

Well said, and could not agree more. The difference this year is having so many who did not play up to the year before, and having so many young guys with reasonable expectations of being better.
