If they lose today and win against us next week it doesn't matter right? They'll still take the division?

So their game today really doesn't matter does it?
 
NO. We win next week, we win the division....PERIOD.

However, if the Jets lose, the game probably wont get flexed to Sunday night since they could be eliminated before the game if the Pats beat Buffalo during the day.

If the Jets win, its a LOCK to be flexed.
 
We MUST beat them next week. If they lose today and win next week we will have equal records but they get in on divisional record.
 
They game matters, if Jets win, the Pats can't win the division.

If Jets lose today, and then beat Miami, and the Pats win, Pats win the division.
 
Jets may as well win today - I'd personally love to see the Pats eliminated.

I'm not sure who I'd rather play next Sunday - a Jets team that has been eliminated hours earlier with a Pats win over Buff or a Jets team that is playing for the division. Either way, we've got to win.
 
I actually want the jets to win today so the patriots can't win the division and would need Baltimore to lose next week to even make the playoffs.
Jets winning today doesn't hurt our playoffs chances at all.

Assuming the game gets flexed, we'd much rather play a jet team thats been eliminated. The crowd would be dead, h.ell they might not even show up! Favre wont give a crap about chad and the dolphins winning the division, hes gone after this year anyway
 
Summary: The Jets game today standingwise is unimportant for us, but might be important for New England.
 
good point, but the thought of them beating us and the Pats squeaking in as division winners somehow...it just sickens me. I'm not sure who I hate more...this week I definitely have a greater hatred for the Pats I think.
 
I am so pumped up right now I could lift a car. I don't care if the Jets win or lose. I want them NOW. Bring it Favre.
 
Wait a minute, if the Jets lose today and we lose to the Jets next week and New England closes out with a win, then they (NE) are division champions.
