does it scare you that c-pepper is running and practicing on that knee, it just seems like he should be resting and not rushing his return, i am just afraid he is going to hurt himself ,i would rather him not come back until he is 100% than get hurt agian, I know saban is god and we have great doctors but you would think he should be resting its only june?

If Daunte and Saban aren't worried why should we.

We have great doctors. And great coaches. If they say it's ok then it must be ok.

According to Saban's PC the doctors are saying that Daunte has reached the point in his rehab were he needs to start practicing his QB skills, if the doctors, Saban, and Culpepper all feel that he's ready to be dropping back and throwing the ball... then I'm all for it.

hes not doing that much on it. running and taking snaps aren't exactly working at it. If he was trying to make cuts on the field and doing drills, thats different. But just going through the motions won't do anything to him.

No.

Now, I ask you-

Do you think Nick, the doctors, and, DC are all stupid enough to push
him to the point where we could lose him for the season?

I personally don't think they are.

The most he can do without re injuring it (while getting ample rest) is fine with me.

What do you think rehab is. It's not like rehabbing means resting. It's doing alot of strenuous exercises to strengthen the knee. Practice is nothing compared to what he's doing in rehab.

No, He's making himself stronger, now if he was cutting and leaping and things like that, that put stress on it, then yes I would worry.

Dude, after the surgery you need to start the rehab as soon as you can, believe me I've gone thru all this...

Nope, but if this keeps up, I suspect it will scare The Jets, The Bills, and The Pats.

Chambers was asked the same thing and he said he wouldn't want his Qb worrying about an injury when he's doin his thing.

In order to rehab your knee you can't just "rest it." If you just sit around resting it, the leg muscles and knee ligaments start to atrophy. You have to start moving it to regain the strength....that doesn't mean running full out 100%, but you have to walk and do some light running. I am sure he also is doing some weight training, and maybe doing some resistance running in a swimming pool. DC may never be able to make lateral cuts like he did before or have the speed he once did, but he should get back most of the strength eventually.

I am a little. I mean I agree with the doctors and Saban saying that he needs to practice stuff he's going to be doing during the season. I mean, yea, you hear stuff that he's doing well from the docs n everything, but m also an Orlando Magic fan n I've heard a bunch of the same stuff about Grant Hill for the past 6 years. While I think reports of Daunte's recovery is legit, it just seems to be happening so fast n seems to good to be true. To be honest, I'd rather play it safe n start Joey for the first 2 or 3 weeks, maybe even 4 just to make sure Daunte's good cuz we're gonna need him for many years to come.

With respect-

Grant Hill is a walking, talking injury.

Basketball and Football are different animals.

JT played almost the whole year on an injury that would
sideline most NBA players for the year.

I understand your concern, and, I'm all for resting DC if need be.

There have been conflicting reports on DC's knee....It just seems that the optimistic view is right.

I don't see that as any less authoritative as him missing the first 1/2 of the season.
