Just wondering since the jets won't go WR in the 1st round now that they have BM. Of course now the bears could go for one. I'm still hoping we get one of the top 3. Anyway, d o you guys see the bears taking a WR ahead of us? Are we going to get left out of the top 3?

At least the Bears aren't in our division.
Their D is pretty lacking though, I dunno if replacing Marshall is the #1 priority.

I don't think Chicago will use a top 10 pick on a receiver, as they view Alshon as their #1. In a deep draft, I'm sure they can wait until round 2 or 3 for a capable #2 receiver. As far as the Jets go, it certainly doesn't hurt. With them out of the equation for a receiver, barring a trade up from another team, I see Oakland, St Louis, and Cleveland as teams that could take a receiver in round 1. If one of those teams go in another direction, one of White, Cooper, or Parker will be available when we pick

answer your own question... with your lack of QB, lack of WRs besides a now older and not as great top WR of Marshall... would you pass on an Amari Cooper of Kevin White???

i'm saying this if the QBs are already gone as well though!!!

Cutler may not be there either. They may be looking at QB. Hopeful thinking

I think it does.
Cobb going to the Raiders is the big chip to fall.

If I was Oakland getting Cobb... I still would draft Kevin White or Amari Cooper as well (even if I got Julius Thomas, Maclin, as well)
If I was Jets... I still would draft Kevin White or Amari Cooper as well (I am saying this as if the QBs are off the board)

Well it is certainly no guarantee.
But it is giving our small odds a little of a boost

Funny thing is we don't even know if our FO would draft a WR at 14 even though most of us want them to.

One of these five WR's should be there at #14: White, Cooper, Parker, Green-Beckham or Strong. Any of these five would be fine with me.

its so tough to even really think a definite pick at #14 so far in advance without FA even started and knowing where your team as well as others really stand.

I know but it gives us something to think about for now. Free agency is on top of us though

We need corners. We have ONE and he is ancient even though he makes a play or two on taller wr's, he is a liability there and he got ate a lot by the big boys last year. Brandon Marshall will eat Grimes up and spit him out. I love grimey. Glad he is here. But he is not a shut down, lock down cb in the revis/sherman mold.

And after him, nobody, with a capitol NOBODY!! Don't want to hear about potential or he flashed at times, he was a .... round pic. This division has great wr's in it now and big ones and we can't stop them.

My dream of Trey Wayne's falling to us just got officially shattered when the jets got marshall. They will not pass on Waynes should he fall and if he doesn't, they will take the next best on their board at cb.

In this nfl it is gods truth, you have to have starting quality corners across the board. Both starters, the nickle and all dime dB's. Big, tall, fast, physical cb's!!

Who on our roster fits that and has proved it?

Now, hopefully, you got the point. As everyone has said, its a deep draft for excellent wr's and I would rather stand pat with the ones we have and grab one in the 3-4th rd round than not draft corners. Besides our division, the nfl is full of big tall physical wr's and unless miami can get players in here who can compete with these 6'8", 220lb 2.60 forty time freak's, its already over because we have one older, smallish corner and NO ONE ELSE!!!!

Big time corners are much harder to find than big time wr's and we need waynes in the worst way. He can play zone or man just as mayock has been trying to tell people and he has the size and speed to handle the Brandon Marshall's of the nfl. Our cb situation is much more dire than our wr situation that has Wallace and Landry already on it. We have ONE corner who is no spring chicken.

Waynes probably goes top 5 and the jets will grab the next best corner. Marshall to the jets dry holed us big time for a top corner.

you bank far too much on WR's early. yeah last year. well, not every year.

I bet DBG becomes a big bust.
