Marcus Thigpen returns kicks to the 7 yard line on a regular basis.

So, yes.

John "my wallet says badass mutha******" Denney says no.

All I need.

Thigpen is 7th in kickoff yardage and 11th in kickoff return average. He is horrible at punt returns this year. Still waiting for him to take it to the house.

i think the skins specials is about as bad as it gets...thiggy does need to field some damn punts to not give us horrid field position when we are backed up in our end

I swear PFF makes things up to be contrarian

Im not PFF, but the eye test, shows me has has regressed a lot this year, compared to last.

They have gotten worse than last year but we are NOT the worst. To me the fact that we haven't given up a TD yet, automatically means we are not the worst.

our return and coverage units need alot of work, but we cant be the worst....

I don't care what his yardage says (we give up a lot of field goals), he's been straight up awful on returns this year.

Everything about this team has regressed this year (with the exception of fumbles by players other than the QB), so it's no surprise that the Special Teams play has been worse as well. The biggest problems have been the o-line, running the ball and stopping the run, and return yardage. With a staff that is in their second year and additional (and questionable) talent brought in by the GM, this team should be greatly improved over last season. The fact that the play on the field has regressed is grounds for cleaning house this off-season.
