Does philbin deserve some credit?

Tannehill has looked like a different player since philbin didn't publically name him the starter after the chiefs game. Maybe RT needed a little tough love? Maybe a pissed off tannehill is a better qb.

Or maybe it had nothing to do with that and he just needed more time to learn new offense.
 
He deserves credit for not benching him when many were calling for it. I probably would have benched him and I would have been wrong!
 
Every head coach can get credit and blame at different points in the season or even game. For that move, if it were calculated , oh yeah.
 
I think the answer to your question will play out in time. Too early to tell at this point.
 
I'm not upset with Philbin about personnel decisions. It is his lack of being a motivator, bringing the team ready to play and making very questionable time management decisions. I also don't like his playing it safe approach.
 
Absolutely not. I was waiting for Philbin supporters to come out after the big win last week. We are going to look good some weeks and bad others but I will stick by my opinion that Philbin is an awful head coach. And no chance that he "motivated" Tanny or even tried to motivate him with his public non confirmation.
