If Philbin gets fired it won't be during the season.

WTF we beat NE and people are starting a thread on Super Bowl. We lose our first game and it's how long does Philbin have. We have to have the most bi polar fans in NFL. Guess what this won't be our only loss and were going to win a bunch to. Get Real People!!!!

Maybe it's because we follow a bipolar team??

You have a point. I have never seen a coach do this before in watching forty years of NFL football.

Absolutely. My son and I were screaming at the TV..TIMEOUT TIMEOUT, then another run, and we looked at each other like WTF is he doing? Does he have dyslexia and think we were up 9-0? I couldn't believe it...2:20, 2 minute warning and 3 timeouts is like forever in the nfl. Sure some of the Tanny bashes would say "he doesn't trust Tanny". Horsecrap...then bench him, but it is also telling the team he doesn't trust the punter (to kick us out), punt team as a whole, and the defense to keep them out of the end zone because if he believed that had we had to punt it, worst case should have been another FG, which still kept it a two score game. I tell ya, I have liked Joe, supported him, but that decision, to just throw away a possession, is inexcusable.

Joe sucks as a head coach. I thought there was a small chance he could change but no. What message does that send to the players?

I mean we are all in agreement 6 straight run plays to go to halftime was dumb as ****. I mean just imagine what Tannehill and the offense thought. What do you think their opinion is on Joe? I can tell you everyone on the offense thought what the **** Joe. He is over his head...I doubt Sparano would pull that ****.

Getting a bit ridiculous...After one loss?....Really?

It seems like people are only counting this season, being 1-1. We must look at the body of work. He has had 2 prior seasons here. Let's go back to the jets and bills last year. Want to blame the players JI gave him? Then maybe he's not the coach to get what he can from his players.
Shula could take his'n and beat u'rin and vice versa. That's a good coach. I'm not saying Joe is Shula though. Just pointing out a good coach.
Ross has made it known that Joe's job is not safe, and recent stinkers are creating more doubt for him.
So this is not too soon in my opinion, he's on the hot seat.
As of this writing it's 16 yes, 19 no. So I'm not the only one to question the validity of Joe.
Btw, Bluefin this is not meant specifically to you, I just took your post to respond to.

I didn't expect to see my coach QUIT on winning a football game with 2:20 to play in the 2nd quarter.

I am no way disagreeing with you, but rather trying to figure out the Philbin's thought process here.

Were the original game plans completely shot after Moreno went down? Was there a certain failure to the original blocking schemes that were put in place? Considering we put together a few drives after the 2nd half, maybe there were dire adjustments he saw that needed to be made at half time and didn't want to risk what he saw as foreseeable failure. :idk:

One thing for sure is that we were all left scratching our heads at Philbin raising the white flag to end the half.

I didn't like the half time decision but I can see his point. It certainly didn't change my mind about him. I have been saying since the bills game last year that I had seen enough. He should have been fired at the end of last season. He isn't a leader of men, maybe a decent OC but not HC material. The worst thing that could happen is we go 9-7 and Ross thinks it is a good idea to give him another year. He doesn't have what it takes to win a championship.

He won't be fired midseason. There is no one out there that could take over, everyone is coaching some where else.
