I have noticed a change in Saban's demeanor lately. When interacting with the media, even the clips I have seen of him directing camp drills, he seems to be sporting a smile more often than not. It appears to me further evidence of how far along this team is, knowledge-wise compared to last year when all things were new. I think Saban smiling and wise cracking with the media, after he sets them straight about what he will and will not talk about, is one of the better indicators of where this team is at and where he believes it will be. I think we are so much deeper and more talented this year at most positions that what we are seeing is a joyful Nick wondering how he is possibly going to cut the roster to 53 men without leaving some talent on the waiver wire. Your thoughts?:dolphins:

I noticed that also. Not only is he a great coach he's a hell of a guy. The players really seem to like him and trust him. I think he's able to relax a bit more because things are moving along pretty smoothly. All in all I think he's just very confident in his abilities to get this team to the top.

I think he's just happier because Rick Speilman and Touchy Feelley are gone...

he's probably delegating some of the work to the two former head coaches, making his life a little less stressful.
