Does Sherman Know????

So we won the game!!! Great Game!!!!! Enjoyed the win. Just HAD to point out the negative..... Can anyone tell me if Sherman know's that teams are allowed to run QB sneak ANYWHARE on the field. 3rd and inches. Once again he ellects to try Thomas off tackle to the weak side. FOOLISH. Just sneak the thing for the 1 foot we needed.

I'm starting to believe Sherman is a major disappointment.
 
Not to mention he had Egnew as the FB on the most important 3rd and 1 of the game. He chooses to line up Clay (the better blocker) at TE and motion him to throw the defense off (which it clearly did not do). The end result, line gets blown up cause they know it was going up the middle, Egnew gets blown up and result is a loss of yards.

Tanny could have sneezed and got the first down.

Yup....Sherman pisses me off so much that my head hurts :-(
 
It baffles me why Sherman continues to ignore the QB sneak option on short yardage plays. I scream at my TV and I am in disbelief when we can't get a freakin foot on 3rd and short and the Bengals are gettings first downs on 3rd and longs all night!

At least Henning knew that we need a short yardage back / fullback on the roster.

Maybe he's afraid Ryan will fumble? That's the only thing I can think of and that's stretching it, but Ryan does reportedly have small hands and he does fumble a lot. But we've got bigger problems than the OC not calling a QB sneak when we can't run for less than a yard with our backs when we need it.
 
I figured it out. Sherman is brillant. All season long, 3rd down and 1 yard to go, QB under center, backs in an I-formation, run it up the middle and get stuffed. Then in the SuperBowl, same scenario, play action, Wallace over the top, touchdown! Brilliant!

Is it really Sherman's fault that the O-line can't block well enough to pick up 1 foot between the tackles?

I thought they should have ran to Clay's side if anything.

Exactly...we are paying for not having a real FB on short yardage and play action too.

Plays like that are why Egnew is not on the field more...
 
If THill can't follow Pouncy for 5 inches then were in trouble. f it, remember Refrig Perry, run big Bryant up Pouncys rear in the rye formation and see who he blows up. Rather get enjoyment from that over D Thomas wimpy run.
 
On those 3rd and 1s if we dont want to qb sneak it why dont we let clay run it from the fb spot. Thomas cant do it miller is to small our real only options are qb sneak or let clay get that 1 yard.
