Did anyone catch the ESPN clip of Sparano frantically signaling for a time out after a Dolphin interception? Surely he knows the clock stops automatically after a change of possessions..or does he?

Maybe that was some kind of hand signals for guys like crowder who ride the short bus?

he's an idiot, he proves it just about every week.

man, in the heat of the game, somehow you get lost, specially if you are in your fist or second year as a HC.

Maybe he doesen't. Kind of like how people on here don't read other threads first to see that their topic has already been brought up. hint hint.

If that why he is making stupid mistakes then he should not be a HC. As a HC you have to be the most collective person on the team and know the game better then anybody on that field. Now do not get me wrong Tony is the best coach we have had sense Don. What made me sick was when Tony did not go 4th on 4 in the NE game, he has no faith in his team and that is just a formula to fail. And oh do not forget how he kills the teams momentum almost every game with ****ing pat white.

I have been watching football for 20 years and I did the same thing as Sparano. It was a knee jerk reaction to a big play with little time on the clock. I was saying TO TO TO. However, after a second of thinking, I realized change of possession stops clock. He knows the rule but got caught up in the moment.

Anyone that does not think he is a helluva coach doesnt know football.

And some ppl on this site still defend him! lol :pop:

I can't imagine Shula, Walsh, or Cowher pulling such a dopey move.

I agree completely not going it for 4'th and 4 was a horrible horrible call we weren't stopping them all day.

I think sometimes Sparano gets a little TOO excited over the plays instead of being calm and collected like you kind of have to be to make the correct decisions...

"in the heat of the moment" is no excuse, he needs to know that the clock stops whenever you change possession... I think we need to move Sparano to O-line coach and bring in a head coach that doesn't make so many mistakes.. he's already made about 9 or 10 clear cut mistakes this season, almost 1 every game.

The guys "in the heat of the moment" excuse is going to cost us more games than not. He needs to coach from up in the press box.
