The Hill situation isn't great.

Hes a top 1-2 WR in the NFL..... he is just as good as Jefferson.... but he's under contract already, for what will likley be the tail end of his career.

I totally understand Hill's postion, but the Dolphins have no incentive at this point to re-srructure. Looking at the graph above shows the decline of almost every WR as they age past 30.... and most of the productive years on this graph for top-end WRs after the age of 30, we're Jerry Rice and guys who played decades ago. The top-end WRs are trending younger.

So the question becomes, can Hill's explosiveness hold-up after the age of 32?

It's a gamble to extend him at this point and history tells us, the odds arnt great. IMO, it's unlikely they will restructure his deal anytime soon.
great chart/data. i agree. on this one i hope they hold the line. all good things must come to an end. if he starts threatening hold out and that kind of stuff, after this year, if there is some other team that wants to give us decent draft capital, i would trade him. i think the other thing we are learning, is in the modern nfl, you can draft rookie WRs that can come in and contribute right away too, just like waddle did.

The only thing we can truly be certain of is, Hill will not play for Miami in 2026 under his current contract. There is a less than zero chance they pay him $56 Million for one season. Everything else is just speculation and conjecture, and until then, I'm not concerned. In the football world, 2 years from now is a lifetime.

Didn't he say on his own that he was going to retire soon? It's foolish to think that we are ever going to pay him $56M. We just signed the future at wide receiver because of the first two statements, and my own two cents is that Achane ends up split wide more and more. He's a Tyreek clone.

Hill said 4 more years 2 years ago. That leaves 2 left which coincides with his ballooning cap hit. Enjoy the next 2 years!

I'd honestly rather see them trade him instead of giving him insane money.
And go back to the **** team we’ve been for 20+ years? We finally have a historically elite weapon and you don’t want to pay him among the top 5 at his position? Are you serious?

He has two years left and that’s it for him in Miami. But I would make sure he’s happy these next two years. Waddle is not a #1 wr.

Keep Tyreek for 2024 and 2025 then release him in 2026. Like Fever said, the writing is on the wall with his actual contract. Could be nothing but I thought it spoke volumes when they decided to restructure Chubb’s deal over his when they needed space in FA.

We’re certainly paying him like he at least stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
We’re really not though. He’s getting paid like a high end #2 wr which is what he is. Higgins and Ayuik will likely make more when they sign soon. The best wrs are now making over $30. So we need to rework Hill’s deal

Is he not under contract for the next 2 yrs still? Yeah I'd keep him for those 2 yrs unless he demands some insane money. He's not getting younger and is going to breakdown at some point, hell he didnt play all the games last yr. Just sayin.....
