We could imagine this move mean carey to RG and Hadont to center and I would like nick trade down to grab more pick and pick a center (degory).

Does this scenario possible with the pearson signing

Opinion ?

Not necessarily my friend. I actually think Alabi may be backup LG now.

No,actually I would expect Saban to give coach Houk as many big bruisers to work with as he possibly can.It does not rule out the possibility of drafting another lineman.I would also like to trade down to get an extra pick or two.We will see.

Pearson has barely played the last 2 years. I doubt we just hand him a starting job and shuffle our O-Line around.

Sometimes ya sign guys for depth or to compete in TC. He is still young and coming off a major injury.

I think this year we will have alot better options for our O-Line as we have a fair amount of decent players already signed. With most likely a few more to come. Guessing our starting line-up now would be a crap shoot. LJ at LT and probably JJ at LG are the only folks close to being locks right now.

pearson will end up on PUP and maybe play the second half.

The signings of Reyes and Pearson coming when you do just give us greater flexibility to go with the best player available in the later rounds.

If Pearson proves he is/or can fully get over his injuries he would be an interesting signing. I think Reyes may take Harris' place on the Development Squad which just shows that Nick Saban is thinking ahead of the game in all areas.

The Center position is still wide open. I could see Nick drafting a Center in the 3rd round. I am not prepared to hand the job to Hadnot who had all those penalties last year.

Yup...means we don't HAVE to draft an OL, like we did prior to FA...now, it also means that IF one of the studs fall to us somewhere on day one, we could draft an OL...but it doesn't mean that we HAVE to...

That is the key. We now don't have to draft for need, we can build with the best guys. Drafting for need gets you Eddie Moore.

As to whether Saban will trade down from round 1??? I hope he does perhaps as low as late 20's and gets either a second or a third and fourth. But we have to have someone else willing to come up.

right and I have a feeling that like last year nick will found very good player in low rounder (3 eme and 4eme and a very capable qb to compete with lemon in the 7eme round).

I would like ingle martin, barrick nealy or erick meyer here just to compete and see what they have to left

It all comes down to BPA.

I like the Pearson signing, if he's healthy he could compete for a starting spot or push the other OL-men to improve and be a decent backup.

In Saban We Trust!
