First of all, this isn't a "knock Joey Harrington" thread, but something he's said in the past bothers me. When Joey said he likes to be told what to do and doesn't like to improvise, that makes me question his potential at QB. Those are the words of a system quarterback who may never be a franchise quarterback (a legacy of sorts for Tedford QBs).
It isn't that Joey isn't a smart guy. I've seen his press conferences and interviews and he's an intelligent, well-spoken guy and I don't understand why he needs things drawn out for him. The most dangerous quarterbacks are the ones that can make things happen when the play breaks down and they can improvise.
Joey has started a lot of games in this league and I understand that the coaching he had in Detroit was subpar and he has done a decent job of running the offense in Miami. It's just an enigma why an intelligent, hard-working QB with a good arm and a really good release can't be better than he's been in this league and why he would make such a statement.
Anyway, Joey has played well enough for us to win and just poorly enough for us to lose the last two games. I'd take two INTs off his stats (one bounced right off Welker and one Chambers bounced right into the air). It will be interesting to see how Joey plays the rest of the year and to see if Daunte will be able to play like the Daunte of old in the future.
