Lets see....

- 4 neck procedures in the last 12-16 months
- cervicle vertebrae fusion
- nerve damage to arm
- hasnt played in a year
- weakness in his throwing arm
- major concerns of his long term durability

so.... really.... you want to sign manning? why the hell would you want a broke down player?

The fins would be better off moving up to grab rbg or stinking/tanking another year and going for a solid qb in the draft instead of wasting millions on someone who may not actually be able to play anymore.

Manning is toast, and the dolphins shouldnt waste any time or money on him. Focus on getting a quarterback who can hang with the franchise for the next decade.

You're whole opinion is based entirely on the idea that you somehow KNOW that Peyton is no longer healthy enough to be effective... Do you somehow know something about Peyton that nobody else does?

My opinion is based on the facts of the situation as a whole not on an overwhelming desire for "instant credibility" most people are so desperately hopoing for.

I would hope that the Dolphins fron office is smart enough to put him thru his paces and a complete physical BEFORE signing him to a contract. Not too sure the front office is that smart though.

No he doesn't and the fact that 12 teams are interested in him tells me all I need to know!

all that tells you is that 12 teams are desperate for a quarterback.

It says nothing at all about his health and his ability to carry a 16 game season with a gimped neck.

No team will back up the brinks truck without doing their due dligence on Manning. Is the OP is assuming NFL front offices equal fansite message boards?

I damn sure wish we had the top pick in the draft so we didnt have to take this risk but we dont. I still would rather trade up for RG3 but a healthy manning would b a nice move.

At this point, with the dolphins? Yes. I think Ross would be willing to shell out the bucks for Manning because it will put 10,000 fannies in the stadium before manning has practice 1.

I'm just skeptical about the whole thing. There should be real concern about his health and the extent of his recovery. A five minute youtbue video of Manning tossing the ball and all of a sudden its "we sign him and we go to the super bowl".

i think Ross wants manning more for this than any other reason. He instantly gives sellouts and exposure.

I think it is pretty safe to say any team that signs him well give it a test drive before they buy so no worries.

Of course every team is going to give their due diligence on Manning's health before they bring him in, including the Miami Dolphins. That's why you haven't seen him sign with a team yet. I guarantee if he didn't have a neck issue, even at his current age, he'd have been signed yesterday!

I think your trying to rain on our parade and I think you should take your negativity some place else' it really sucks that I gotta share my team with a pathetic fan like you buddy JS.....

He worked out and threw 5 days last week and impressed a lot of people.

Just an FYI.

Rain on your parade? Gee sorry.

Just trying to bring a little perspective to the situation, something that has apparently been lost on these boards as of late.
