Doesnt anyone want to see him throw first? yet another pay-me-a-ton manning thread

You mention Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky. Too bad Orlovsky has only played 1 year in Indy, and it was definatley not behind Payton Manning. Nice try though.

as for sitting, yeah, lists on both sides. For better or worse these guys should play. That way you know and havent spent two years developing a dud.

and please get it right - Manning has not been medically cleared to play. His doctor said he can play. Theres a huge difference between what his doctor says and whether or not he actually can pass a teams physical.

You stumped me, dude. I did a little research anyway...

A list of backups behind Peyton Manning:

Jim Sorgi-6th round pick
Travis Brown-undrafted
Cory Sauter-undrafted
Mark Rypien-6th round, 1986 draft
Brock Huard-3rd round pick seattle, busted before he went to Indy.
Joe Hobert-3rd round pick oakland, busted before he went to Indy.
Kelly Holcolmb-undrafted
Steve Walsh-1st round 1989 supplemental draft pick. 33 years old when Peyton was drafted.

I also wonder why Peyton wasn't able to turn these guys into great NFL quarterbacks.

If we get RG3 (probably won't) and we dont get Peyton, I want Rg3 to play day 1. If we trade away valuable picks to get him that high, that means were sold on him. But I think I've proven that the best quarterbacks in the game today, as well as some HOFers, sat as a rook, some even longer. Specifically Steve Young- dude didnt do a thing in Tampa, then goes and sits for years behind Joe Montana and he's now in the hall of fame.

Thats the thing though. He's not ready. Simple logic dictates that if he was, he would still be under contract to the Colts.

Are you seriously this clueless? The colts are rebuilding completely and want to draft Andrew Luck. They know Manning deserves better and they dont need to keep him around for this. Manning has 2-3 years left..he is not going to want to rebuild and watch the Colts first pick be a QB when if he stays, it should be a different position.

DID you see the video yet? Apparently you were the last to get the memo on that one..DOH.
