Doesn’t Our FO Look Dumb Now

Typically I come onto Finheaven and read what many of the fans and out of work NFL GM’s have to say about the team. Whether or not I agree or disagree with what other posters are saying I often conclude that the guys running the show know more than we do and try my hardest to trust their judgment. This whole Will Allen situation really makes me wonder about these guys (I realize many other posters will consider me way late to the party). If there was a poll on here the day before final cut down day that about which of these 2 out of these 3 DB’s you want the Dolphins to keep:

Allen
Carroll
Sapp

I’m willing to bet 80 – 90 percent of Finheaven posters would have kept Will Allen and cut one of the other guys (All except for the guys who try to think like Ireland where younger, cheaper is best). What’s it tell you when the fans are right over the guys who watch every snap? It’s not good if you ask me. Now I’ll get to hear Pats fans snickering about the Dolphins cutting Sapp all day just like last year when we fired the ST coach right after the NE game….FUN, FUN.

At the end of the day I’m not 100% positive Will Allen is any better than Benny Sapp but I do know that in week 1 of 2009 he was. If we see he’s clearly better then WOW Sparano and Ireland really need a clue.
 
To be honest - no i don't think our FO looks dumb now. I think they look smart now by cutting Sapp and bringing Allen back.

They did however look really dumb two weeks ago when they cut Allen in the first place.
 
I hear you but if it was about money or the guaranteed contract I think Sapp made 1.9 million and Allen made 1.5 million so they cut possibly the better player and lost 400,000 bucks in the process.

And I'll bet the majority of Finheaven posters would have chosen to bring in Orton and bench Henne. -Just sayin...
 
Oh sure I agree, but we should be wrong about this stuff, the guys running the show should be better at this than finheaven posters. We should expect them to make the right choices. Hell I realize if the team was run by finheaven we’d have gone through about 15-20 QB’s over the last 2 seasons benching everyone after one bad game. My point is simply that if Allen ends up being much better than Sapp it’s terrible for them.
 
They look dumb a lot. Even when they correct a wrong they look dumb. I don't like Sapp but he wasn't the 53rd best player on our team. I can think of several guys who should've been gone first.
 
Bottom line.... if you ran your business the way the Dolphins have run theirs over the past 10 years.... you'd be out of business

That is a comfort to know that 80% of the internet GM's here would know how to run an NFL team and you are not 100% sure Allen is the better player but you would have kept him because in 2009 week one he was better.............got it. :up:
 
Sapp is the only nickel corner on the roster. That's why he was kept over Allen. I'm not sure who's going to play the nickel for us now that Sapp is gone. I'm guessing Will Allen is here to make sure Carroll never sees another snap as a boundary corner again.

Wake was pancaked so much... it was an I-Hop moment... why not cut him too....
