Dog pile on incognito!!

Big ****! How many years now have we watched him play on OUR team? I could care less what he did previously. And how many times would you say you saw him play dirty? He played to the echo of the whistle... thats it. And that's what he coached to do. His reputation is what gets him his notoriety.

What's the old adage...where there's smoke there's fire....

In a situation like this his reputation does, indeed, come into play...it shows a pattern of behavior of the life time of his career and the latest incident shows he has changed very little.

It's one thing to say things in the heat of the moment on the field or at practice... that happens all the time!!

It's far different to record them on a voice message. Racism aside for a moment, he threatened to assault his mother and kill him!! You'd have to be a complete mental midget to not understand the ramifications of doing that.

Who knows what sort of crank this guy is on not to mention all the hits to his head.. who's to say what he could do? I would report him also. Anybody saying this is "the pussification of america" is an idiot!

I'd love to see somebody leave a message threatening your family and life. See if you would just "take it like a man"!!

What a load of garbage. He threatened to kill him like you'd threaten a pesty younger brother. There's no malicious intent. You guys make this crap up or suck it up from the liberal gender neutral media. Its the big push to make us all equal in everything ... yea!! Well guess what were not. A board room with civilized men and women is not equal to a locker room.. and contrary to those that espouse the notion that they should be.. Well they 'aint. But here's the final word on this matter for me: Those that have the most RIGHT to be offended by RI, those that know him and work with him day in and day out, those in the best position to judge his intent, are the very ones who have his back, to a man (save one,).

Clearly, his comments make him look like a backasswards asshat. Thing is, **** gets said between men in the trenches. As a former O-lineman, I've had some completely morally repugnant **** said to me & responded in kind without giving it a second thought. :idk:

It is what it is.

Down in the trenches ... Put on your big-boy pants.

Hell, I had a coach in high school tell me, "You wanna play goal line D for me? You better be - willing to stab your mother in the leg, mean!"

And that is fine, so long as you can handle it and it looked like you could. But some people cant. Call them weak minded or p***ys or whatever but it is what it is and not everyone is as obtuse as another. This is why there are laws in place to govern what is deemed acceptable and not acceptable by the victim. Having this type of hazing or bullying or whatever in the locker is fine so long as the victim takes it with a light heart, however RI crossed the line when he took it out of the lockerroom by calling JM and threatening his life and his mothers life.

Ive been in lockerroms before (Not at any professional level) and at no point in any lockerroom I have ever been in, would the coach tolerate someone calling a black man a n****ER. One player did once and he was kicked off the team, and then to drive it even further, the coach made the entire team run suicide sprints. I threw up at practice that day (although I wasnt the only one). And just to let you know how good of a coach this was, he is in the LaCrosse HOF.

"Talking trash" in the trenches against the enemy is one thing...get in their head...I get it.
I just don't see how talking trash with a teammate, especially the one who plays next to you, is supposed to be a positive thing.
You rely on eachother, you should be tight.

Obviously, once it gets racial, or threatening, I think it's safe to say that relationship is far from tight.
Aside from personally bringing Martin down, Richie is bring the team's locker room down, our play on the field (especially the o-line) down and the overall name/reputation of the team down.
I hope we cut Richie asap and our o-line can get through this and be tight and get back to focusing on playing ball!

Richie is a distraction at best and needs to go.

I get it.... but you evidently don't. They say the best way to learn a new language is through submerging yourself into the culture. Go spend 2 days in any football locker room in the country (outside of BYU or Holy Cross) and then tell me you don't understand. Its common place. Period. Period.
And it has nothing to do with whether he was a good player or not. Heck, Garner rated the 13th best Guard by PFF... it may even be an upgrade.

"a new language". Wtf?? You are out of your mind. You're trying to justify racial hate speech as a new language?

"Go to any locker room.." -- I'm calling BS on this. Yes they may use every curse word, derogatory word under the sun.. but I guarantee you don't have white guys called colored guys "n***er pieces of sh**".. You don't think the other black guys on the team are going to be offended by this? Oh I forgot, they'll just chalk it up as "locker room talk".. riiiiight!

Couldn'tve said it better myself...I'm disgusted with Jonathan Martin. I hope they cut him and we keep Cogs. But I'm sure that won't happen because of the national perception.

Come on guys, Incognito has been a troublemaker from college on. We knew it when we signed him. If it wasn't this it would have been something else, has been on every team he has been on.

If "the jacking-tone would have been similar" means you would tell Martin you were going to:

a) Slap his mother across the face,
b) Defecate in his mouth, and
c) Kill him

then you would deserve either a major a$$kicking by JMart and his buddies in the parking lot (which is what all you Incognito apologists seem to think would've been good), or an indefinite NFL suspension (which is what actually Incognito got). On the other hand, if you would not have said any of the above, then congratulations, you get to join the 99.9% of us civilized human beings who are appalled at Incognito's ridiculous statements.

Truth be told, I may have said any of those three items ... If it meant getting his butt there. Anger is a motivating force.

Seriously the way so many of you are standing up for Incognito makes me ashamed to be a fan of this team! I know he's a solid football player but the guy is a piece of garbage human being. The evidence is out there -- and it's not just one or two times (that's forgivable) it's time after time after time.. Quit standing up for this chump!

I want my linemen to have a nasty attitude.

If I wanted to root for choir boys, I'd have been stumping for Tebow to be brought in. :idk:

Yea, but Incognito has too nasty of an attitude. Trouble follows him like fleas to a dog.
