SEEDING
To make these torrents work it is very important that you stay on seeding for at least 24 hrs after you have finished particularly if you have a high speed (BW) connection .

As a bare minimum you should upload at least as much BW you have downloaded.

Its not a good idea to load to many torrents at the same time as our total bandwidth would be spread too thinly in order to do a good job of seeding.

Next on our wish list are the following games (In no particular order);
01/02/82 -- San Diego 41, at Miami 38 (ot) (the Epic in Miami)
10/09/83 -- Buffalo 38, at Miami 35 (ot) (Marino comes off the bench)

What is a torrent ? Basically it a file sharing system. The way it works is that a fellow member records the game, edits the commercials, compresses the result into a digital file which is then uploaded to a bittorent site.

To download a copy of the game You need to first install a client (Program). Then you open the torrent file (A text file which gives instructions to your client) and it will start loading the video file on your HD.Here is a link to the client we recommend.

In order to see the encoded video on your PC you will need to install codecs. That only comes into play after the load is complete and you want to see the game on your PC player. You will be advised what codecs to install.A very good media player that will read most codecs is the Videolan player. Here is the link.http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

The DVD size videos do not need codecs but do need special viewers such as WinDVD and PowerDVD.To watch the DVDfile on your PC just open the vob.files.

To burn a DVD try the following tips
MaxPower said:
They are already a playable DVD.
The structure of a 'DVD' is just 2 file folders, an AUDIO_TS and a VIDEO_TS, with all of your .IFO, VOB, etc files being in the VIDEO_TS folder & the AUDIO_TS empty. When you select a "DVD Video" option with Nero or some other software all it does is create those 2 folders & arrange your files in the one.
If you re-create that structure on your PC, then you can burn straight to DVD with no problems with any software you normally use...

BTW the torrents that are not DVD quality will suffer in comparison if your objective is to burn the video and watch it on a big screen. They are oriented for PC viewing. Here is the link for the codecs for the Divx ripped videos.

For those who would like to load the game but who need additional technical help check the following FAQs.

For those with a technical background

We request that you roll back through the thread if you have any questions. The information you seek may have already been answered.

No torrent can be successful without the participation of encoders(Those who capture the video, encode and upload the torrents),seeders (Those who stay on after they finish loading to help out other members who are trying to finish) and leechers (A misnomer as they are also sharing their BW as they are trying to finish). If you are interested please post on this thread.

The torrents usually start slowly and build up downloading BW (bandwidth speed) as those who finish stay on to seed for those who have not finished. If done properly it has an snowballing effect.

If you are experiencing slow download speeds or you suspect you have Firewall issues to overcome you may want to forward your ports.Try the following procedures.(Only for PC literates)

Remember when you forward your ports you also have to find the place in your client software that specifies the port range it uses and make sure that it matches the port range you specify in the port forwarding section of your router config.

Some helpful info for Encoders/Cappers

To edit commercials you can try a program called Virtual Dub.There is another associated mod program called Nandub which will help you resolve any audio sync issues. There are other programs as well that can do the job.

There are several encoding programs you could use.Check the following comparison tables.
.

To upload a torrent you first have to make a torrent file. You can use a program called Maketorrent 2.1 for this purpose.Link

Its a simple procedure. The most important information is the URL of the tracker you will be using.

Note to Encoders:please include the following NFO text file with your upload.

Note to new Encoders and Cappers. It might be a good idea to upload a sample of your torrent before uploading your main torrent.

BTW The site has a reward/demerit system for leechers.Bad leechers will be dropped from membership by the site.I urge everyone that is interested in the torrents to sign up at the site as membership is limited and will be closed out when it reaches its limit. At that point you can become a member by invitation only from members.

I try to watch. But, with the new job, my time is pretty tight. Plus, I like to keep something for a rainy day.

Man I watched the last drive with Marino vs. the Jets on the spike play like 10 times as soon as the d/l finished. It was awesome each time!

I have no where near enough self control not to watch them immediately!

I don't watch them either. I only watched first half of the cowboys game and 3 quarters of the Bears game. I'm saving them to have something to watch when im old.

By then they will be using another technology and you will searching to find one of those obsolete DVD players.

Many of our old torrents dissapeared along with the Sites.I will have to upload them again.Which one are you interested in.?I will take requests at the thread on the site.:)

I'm looking for those two

11/25/93 -- Dolphins 16,Cowboys 14 (Leon Lett game)
09/04/94 -- at Miami 39, New England 35 (Marino returns)

If you look at the schedule in the top thread post you will note that those are scheduled soon.Just be patient. Its a long offseason. Its not good to have too many torrents at the same time.People finish at different times and stop seeding to jump on a new one.

sorry - I looked in the wrong list for the games I'm interested in... my bad!!

Those are the games that I'm interested in that have already been shared:
12/02/85 -- Dolphins 38 vs Bears 24 - 4.22GB.
12/22/96 -- Dolphins 31 , N.Y. Jets 28 - 2.86GB

The Bears one was popular and I am sure we will cycle it in again (We have done it twice already). The Jets game was not really a classic and we had very little interest in it.Jets were 1-15 Fins 8-8 and out of playoffs.
