Yes. The DVD burner can do all of those tasks, play normal CD's, burn CD-R's and CD-RW's, play DVD's and burn DVD's. :)

If you're trying to watch the cowboys/dolphins game you need a DVD player such as Intervideo WinDVD or PowerDVD. If you are talking about the Patriots/Dolphins game you need a Divx codec/player which can be found on http://www.divx.com/divx/ it's the last one on the bottom and is free.

Thanks again guys, I'm at 60.5% at the moment, can't wait till it finishes!
Stang-I have that already. I didn't finish downloading the whole file yet-does it matter? Or do I need to finsh the file to view it?

Guys-maybe someone can help. I keep getting the following error . Can someone help
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.
You need to install the Divx codecs which is linked in the What is a torrent ?section of my thread post.It will play on any player once you have the codecs installed.:)

If you are loading the Cowboys game which is in DVD format you will need a DVD player such as WinDvd or Power DVD to play it.Check www.videohelp.com for additional info.

i've been seeding the hawks but no one is grabbing.... wanna post the link again? EDIT: scratch that, right after i posted this someone started grabbing it....
There is some one trying to load the Hawks game and the Niners game. From the speed I think they are using dial up connections. They come on and off line.I remember when I had the same problem. So if you keep seeding as I do which is 24 hrs a day you will be helping.:)

What has happened to the Patriots MNF HQ game (2nd torrent)? I come home and the d/l has cut off and it is saying the file is corrupted. I went to start the torrent again and it counted up read the existing file up to 20% and gave me a screen saying it failed!

Update: I ran Norton and it gave an indication of a bad sector which was occupied by the torrent AVI file. It "fixed' the problem and moved the data. Now the torrent has resumed, apparently normally.

BUT.... could this mean that my file is corrupted? And am I in danger of seeding the corrupted part of my file to others? That I do NOT want to do!

Ideas???

Sounds like your hard drive had a bad sector and the file was written on this sector. This does not mean the file was corrupt, just that it was unable to continue to write the file due to the bad sector. Also the file will not be corrupt if you seed it. BitTorrent use an error checking tool called "hash check" which scans the file to determine wether it is corrupt, if part of the file fails "hash check" it will re-download that portion of the file. If the file is still downloading, it will be fine upon completion.

<--- I'm now @ 72% on the Cowboys file. Wish it would finish!!! :)

Yes you can.Use Dr Divx and you can shrink it to fit in a regular CD.There will be a tradeoff in quality but it wont be too severe if you do it right.

Wow, this thing has really grown since the first pre-season game I capped and uploaded :D I look forward to some of the stuff you guys are willing to share, thank you all. Also, thanks Crunch for being there from the beginning and always keeping these things nice and organized. I'll see if I can think of some local stuff I might be able to share with you guys. :)

I havent forgotten. You capped the first three exhibition games for us.And you put up the Dan Marino:Heart of a champion torrent which I think you should put up again when it gets close to HOF time.

I hope you can participate with us again.Yes it has grown. Most people had no idea that this option existed and gradually we have formed a good bunch of guys who need their torrent fix.:D

I have DR. DiviX now what does encoding video mean?
It means compressing.Thats what Jaxdolfan has been doing all year.Capping and then compressing the file. You can reduce a file of approx 4 gig down to less than 700 meg size.

It took Jaxdolfan a couple of hours to compress the file but we got to see the game sooner because of a smaller size.

I remember the first Pats game. Some Pats fan put up a cap by quarters but it took so long to load that many of them ended up loading our file because they were anxious to see the game.
