Okay, seriously now. This is a forum about the Miami Dolphins. Obviously, we all like them or we would not be here. Yet, it seems to so often be haters vs homers in these threads and a constant back and forth about who is a real fan, or a realistic fan, or a blind homer fan.

What is really the point in all that?

Being a fan of Henne and thinking he could still turn out alright does not make anybody a blind fool, just as those who complain about Henne and are frustrated with him are not haters or bad fans. We all have our opinions and different ways of being a fan. To each his/her own.
Can we really all not discuss the phins and accept the difference and actually discuss them without making it like childish bickering? It's not hard to respect differences and accept the fact that we are not all going to think alike...thank God.
One way or another we are all here for the dolphins and that's what matters.

Homers: I don't think the so called Haters are pulling against the Dolphins on Sundays and would gladly eat crow if something like, say Henne becomes a stud QB happens. And there is nothing wrong with expressing frustrations.
Haters: So called Homers do not have a low football IQ just because they do things like support Henne and actually believe he still has a shot at being good.
So...can't we all just get along and enjoy discussing our Fins without too much overkill on personal attacks and schoolyard like disputes?

Now I know it's not always like that, and some threads are are great and absolutely respectful discussions about football that are engaging and fun to take part in...it just does seem like there is always plenty of the other too.

Don't mean to be griping, just suggesting maybe we could all handle it a little different in the future.
Anyways, my slight rant I guess...thanks. And I labled this a pipedream for a reason I'm sure.
Long as we all have fun. =)

i think the opposite of a homer shouldn't be called a hater i love the dolphins though i know i can be down right critical..
 
Haters and Homers to Finheaven is what the uneducated and new jersey are to the jets..
 
I agree with your thread, but I don't think it's going to solve any thing. We may all be Dolfans, but it's not gonna change the fact that we are all different and have a different approach to rooting for the team.

I personally don't think it's "haters and homers" I think it's "blind faithers and realists." Blind faithers think they are better fans because they support the guys on the team through good times and bad. Realists think they are better fans because they don't beat around the bush and call a spade a spade.

Anyways, what ever you choose to call the two sides, they've existed ever since I've been a part of finheaven, and they've rammed heads probably a lot longer.

You know what will absolve this situation? Winning. The Miami Dolphins struggles through mediocrity to just plain **** have caused he fans to turn against eachother.

At the end of the day, I got the back of the guy wearing my colors though regardless of how he chooses to root for the team. I think that is the median we can all accept.

And I hear ya...can't say I disagree with ya.
 
Im a long time Dolphin fan,followed the team since 1970,and I know the game as well,not braging,just a fact. This isnt about tooting my horn at all though,all Im trying to say is I support Henne from these standpoints.

First,he is the teams QB at this point,and I want to see the kid do well,and thus the team do well. Secondly, I know Henne has faults,things he needs to improve on,no doubt,but I have said for several years now,and so far this year is proving to be the same,our offensive line stinks,has not gave him or any of the QB's we have had behind center enough time back there,and also has done a poor job in the running game as well,and again putting pressure on the QB and the passing game.

Say what you will, these are FACTS,not my oppinion,FACTS from this preseason so far,and the last few seasons as well. I dont care who we have at QB,for them to be sucessful our offensive line needs to step,and soon for anyone to be successful at QB.

So my point is I will support the Dolphins as I always have,and I do think Henne deserves this year to prove himself or not,with hopefully an offensive line that starts improving. If he doesnt get the job done, I have no problem moving on,but my whole point iss people need to stop making Henne the Blame all when it has been as much and more the O-line and there game as anything else. Give the guys some players around him,and to protect him and lets see,thats all Im saying. If he doesnt get it done, I have no problem moving on,but Im just getting sick of Henne getting blamed as much as he is when a QB needs time to throw the ball,and a running game to help.

And for the record I was using the Henne stuff as just an obvious example of an issue often discussed. There are plenty others, like who to draft, who is a bust or not, the FO, free agents to get or not,who is the best CB, who knows football better....ect.

I agree with the general intent of your thread, but fans who are more critical of a losing organization are not "haters".
 
i dont have a problem with haters.

they will fizzle out soon enough. oh wait....the games dont count yet. i better shut up cus the games dont count. lol

well by golly, i think you should get your resume into ross asap cus you seem to know alot about how to build a team.

let me guess, ryan mallett would have changed alot this year right? or how bout bradshaw? or how bout greg olsen? or how bout palxico burris? or why did we not get a RT in the draft? lol now there is a funny one now huh?

we changed what sucked. what sucked was the offense. henne is currently proving that the offense should run smoothly with many weapons. many weapons that are not even aware of yet cus we are playing vanilla yet still scoring points and going long ball. but hey, chad still sucks and everything your eyes see is just a mirage. lol

cus that sparano ya know, that guy cant even get a RT. yet one maybe sitting on the depth chart in Garner. but these foookers drafted jerry that no good lame *** mississippi wing eatin scum! f'n FO!

Henne still sucks, you'll see. he is still a robot, cus ck says so.
 
There is a difference to me between hate and blind hate. I hate Tom Brady, but I know he is a hell of a QB. There are some objective Henne non supporters on here, which I got no problem with. The ones that I think annoy most of us are the ones that can't give Henne props no matter what, or kind of act like they are but then are still really bashing. Case in point yesterday, this is the type of stuff I read after Henne's performance.

- He played well, but still had some inaccurate throws....really? 3 incompletes that should have all been caught.
- He still doesn't have any pocket awarness.... 10 for 13 with no pocket to be spoken of (LMAO)
- We still only scored so many points.... This thread went on for a while with no mention of the Marshall fumble
- It's only the preseason.... Yes it is, but if you can't see a drastic change in not only Henne, but the Offensive play calling and how they are actually letting him play the position, you are blind!
- Hate to see him fumble there, gotta take care of the ball..... Duh, but did you actually see that play? Almost every QB fumbles there.

This is a small portion of the stuff that is out there that is complete BS.
