I, like many hundreds of other displaced Dolphin fans, are beginning the journey to Miami, Florida for the biggest Miami Dolphin game of the year this coming Sunday.

I'll be bringing my 18-year old daughter along as she was born in Miami, but was just a few months old when we left as a family for the high plains of Northern New Mexico. She's pretty stoked about the trip! We've been to several Dolphin games over the years, in particular...the 2002 Week 6 contest against the Denver Broncos. WHAT AN EXCITING GAME!!! With :45 seconds left in the game, Jason Elam kicked a 55-yard field goal for the go-ahead score.

The stadium was literally rockin' as the Bronco fans cheered the apparent victory! As my daughter and I cupped our ears, I looked at the clock and then said loudly to my kid..."I don't know what these people are all excited about! There's still 45 seconds left in this game!"

And sure enough, Miami came back and with 6-seconds left in the game, Orlindo Mare kicked the game winning field goal.

You could hear a pin drop in my part of the stadium! When the last 6-seconds peeled off, I jumped up out of my seat and turned around to face the disbelieving Bronco fans..."YOU LOSE!" I shouted and laughed "HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

My daughter and I have a great history of being at exciting Dolphin games, but this will be her first one at our home field.

Safe Journeys to all who are traveling from far and wide to be at this important game.

GO FINZ! Whallop the Patsies!!! :woot:

If the Phins lose, you'll be to blame for it :chuckle:

What's your 40 time? Can you catch? Maybe try and get a tryout while you're there....couldn't be much worse than what we've got now.

My 40-time was 12 years ago!!!!

I'm great at catching...colds!!!

A 52-year old like me will only help the Dolphins with beer sales... :callme::beer1:

Then can you at least take over calling the plays????

Then can you at least take over calling the plays????

Let's see then...

Miami opening drive...and we're running it right down their throats. Now, it's 1st and 10 on their 3-yard line. What play do I call????

Wildcat formation - sure...
Ricky passing out of that formation? - NOT!!!!!!!

Freakin' Biggest Bonehead Play Call of the Year!!!! :woot:

I'll never forget the Olindo Mare game. He bet me after Elam kicked that FG that the Dolphins would lose and if they didn't he'd pay for he and I to go out to eat at Red Lobster.

My those shrimp were delicious.

Everyone knows we should have ran a reverse to Lousaka and let him throw the ball.

I hope you guys have a great time and how lucky to get to go to the biggest of this season.... I hope you write a thread around 5 on Sunday saying how we won.

Are there open tryouts?? I was last picked in gym class, and caught a TD pass that surpised me once. I have to be able to make it, I can probably run 40 YDs in like 5-10 seconds, never timed myself but who cares, Ginn can be my speed decoy on the other side and I'll just catch one and run near the sidelines and jump out if I think I'm gonna get drilled.
Stats:
Age - 24
Height - 5'8"
Weight - 130 lbs
I'm ready to play coaches! :woot:

Ughhh...Fiedler broke his thumb on that final drive, Ray Lucas started the next 6 games and tanked our entire season from starting 5-1, and Ray Lucas was never heard from again in the league because hsi play was so atrocious. That was also the beginning of the end for Chris Chambers. It was the game he got knocked the hell out by Kenoy Kennedy....afraid and not the same ever since.

We're in Section 409. Look for the 18-year old cute girl with the 39 Csonka jersey! I imagine there won't be too many old-school girl fans in attendance, so she's gonna stick out like a sore thumb.

[btw...I'll be wearing an old cut-up Finz T-shirt...nasty, but very comfortable!]
