No long buzz column tonight because we’ve been enmeshed in three big projects that The Herald and I will roll out this summer, plus writing Garo Yepremian’s obituary.
But here are a few notes on a Saturday afternoon:

### From a health standpoint, one of the most impressive developments of this Dolphin offseason is how quickly safety Louis Delmas has rebounded from his torn ACL last December.

“I don't think Louis is human,” Miami's other starting safety, Reshad Jones, said at the Dolphins’ charity golf tournament Friday. “He's actually back running around like he never had surgery. A couple guys have ACLs and they're rehabbing [Jones didn’t offer names but Branden Albert and Will Davis are among them].

"Louis is running, no limp, doing all the drills we're doing. He looks fine. We’ve got a good bond on and off the field. I like playing alongside of him.”
### Mike Pouncey, also at the charity events this weekend, talked about “the great vibe” in the building and how “excited” everyone is to see what Ndamokung Suh “is going to do to our team.”

On joining three ex-LSU players on the recent recruiting trip of La’el Collins, Pouncey said because NFL rules limited the team's involvement, “I made sure I took care of everything. I just wanted to try to get a player that was less fortunate to see what happened to him during the draft, someone that could really help our team tremendously."
Did he leave the meeting thinking the Dolphins would get him? "You know how recruiting goes. Nothing was promised to us. We said go out and make the decision on your own, do what's best for you and your family. The Cowboys are a good fit for him. I texted him after he signed with the Cowboys, was really happy for him.”

### Even though the Dolphins have said Brice McCain will be primarily a slot corner, he said he hasn’t been told and that he also is quite capable of playing on the boundary and he did that last season for Pittsburgh.
“I feel comfortable at both,” he said, emphasizing that he’s happy to do whatever is asked of him. McCain said his speed, jumping ability, instincts and awareness make him effective in the slot.

“I felt wanted when they pursued me and I'm glad they did because I really like the place. I see a bright future for this team,” he said.
There are three McCains on the team (Brice, rookie cornerback Bobby and second-year linebacker Chris), and Brice said coaches are avoiding confusion by referring to him as B-Mac, Chris as C-Mac and the rookie as simply “McCain.”
Brice McCain explained it this way: "The youngest guy gets the McCain; he hasn't earned a nickname yet but once he does his [time], he will earn a nickname. Right now, he's plain old McCain.... This is the most McCains I've seen in my life in one area. It's pretty fun. All the McCains are hard workers. All the McCains will do good things this year.”
None are related, Brice said.

### McCain will join Olivier Vernon, Derrick Shelby, Jordan Kovacs, Damarr Aultman and Sam Brenner at a meet-and-greet from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday as part of a charity event at El Agave Asul at 7750 Nova Drive (Suite A2) in Davie. The event is to benefit Andrea Gelske, who has stage four breast cancer, according to South Florida sports agent David Canter, whose clients are attending the event.

Cost is $20 for adults, $10 for kids 3 to 9 and includes the cost of food. Players will sign autographs if fans bring something for them to sign.

How many Mcain will it take win the superbowl?

Delmas and Jones work really well together but, we only saw that gor around 9 games last season. I expect a comeback from Grimes. No way in hell does he want to look at retiring and putting up with Mico that much more. :)

We are improved at slot cover, and if Taylor can step up, our secondary will be VG. JMO

I really think this is Grimes last year here, but will see, possibly Wake's also.

May well be but, do not think he is going to be as bad as last year. Many, based on name recognition, think he played well last year but, that was far from the truth.

I would say he definitely played "well," he just was not the best DE in the league like we had grown accustomed to. He was also nicked up a lot last year. Hes getting older, but barring injury, I fully expect a minimum of 10 sacks and a great year.

3 McCains right? Bobby, Brice and Chris. We need a few more i think

Was talking of Grimes. Wake played very well.

Three "faux" Irish guys may be lucky but their initials of BBC does not sit well. :)

You mean the British Broadcasting Company lol sarcasm

Aultman is an interesting prospect, if he make a name for himself on special teams, he's a wildcard to knock hazel and Matthews out of that last WR spot, because of his upside alone.

I always have doubts about these really athletic types that are stuck at the smaller schools though.

If you're correct about Wake, which I personally doubt, we better draft a DE next with our first pick. We have no one on the roster right now that would make up for his production. I think we should draft one regardless at this point whether he stays or goes, he's not getting any younger

Delmas is back running full speed drills after tearing his ACL 5 months ago..... when does hgh testing begin again?

A simple ACL tear with no other complications has an expected full recovery time of 6-8 months. Running full speed drills at 5 months is accomplishment but not un-heard of. Welcome to modern medicine of 2015.
