Miami Dolphins team officials would not confirm a report that a 310 pound prospective defensive tackle was captured by law enforcement officials in Broward County after a tense standoff and taken away.

One scout (who did not want him name used in this report) described the prospect as "a real mauler" but who was "raw" in football skills. It was not clear what the extent of his college experience was, but it is thought he may have gone to UCLA or California. "He has an ideal weight for a nose tackle, and can get down very low. I don't know many centers that wanted to take this guy on one-on-one."

Numerous officers were called to the scene in Weston today, so they would probably agree. The prospect was released after a brief detention but now his prospects of making the Dolphins 2009 squad seem slim. He could be picked up to the practice squad.

The Dolphins had been looking for depth behind starter Jason Ferguson. Last year's back up, Paul Solai, has battled weight and discipline issues.

Just thought y'all could use a laugh during a LOOOOOOOOONG offseason!!!!

Thanks for the laugh man. I needed that after a 12 hour Bartending shift. We just need to face the facts that we will not be able to address the NT position until maybe after June 1st cuts or even next off-season. Only time will tell. LOL I just don't see us upgrading anytime soon. Not enough options out there.

I hear the bear's lawyer is claiming bias in the arrest,
His lawyer claims he was shot because he was black and that a white bear would have just had a warning shot

what do you mean. This bear will have the same number of tackles as Solai this season

Ha ha you're probably right. Thats pretty sad when you think about it. We have absolutely no depth passed aging Ferguson. If he gets hurt we are screwed.

Soilai had one more forced fumble in the playoffs than the bear did last year

A battered, dehydrated Pat White continues to signal his hard-earned
wildcat touchdown while being taken off the field on a stretcher.

I would love to see Nick Mangold's face when he went to line up over the ball and looked into the eyes of our new DT.

It's ironic how the article speaks of moving the bear back into the "wild" when it's really the residents of Weston who are practically living in the friggin middle of the Everglades. The bear isn't on their turf - Westonians are on his turf.

Anyway, I hope the bear looks good in mini camps.
