It would be interesting in the spirit of the game Sunday to state your case along with your prediction of the final score. Not a flame post, but an honest assessment of how you see things playing out.

I believe the Dolphins will play the Saints tough and the teams will be within a touchdown at the end of the 3rd Quarter. I also believe the Wildcat will present some problems for the Saints, especially early in the contest. This week the Saints will likely be without Scott Fajita, our starting Outside Linebacker. We are already thin at this position, so the Dolphins will for sure try to exploit this area, and in particular with the rushing game. I do think the Dolphins will have some early success rushing the ball. Our pass defense will be up to the task ahead and don't see the Dolphins throwing big-time yards in the game.

The Saints will try to pass the ball early and often if the weather at game time is good. All receivers are healthy right now and any success with the pass will open up the rushing attack. If the Saints get the running game going, then Payton and Brees love play action. Brees has thrown for many yards and touchdowns during play action when catching the defense off balance. Brees is also an EXTREMELY accurate passer with the longball. Nearly every long pass is right on the money giving the receiver a legit shot at the ball. Against Miami, I can see the longball thrown 6-8 times.

So in the 4th Quarter, the Saints will give a heavy dose of Mike Bell and Pierre Thomas running the ball to protect any lead they might enjoy. You will find the Saints a very well-conditioned group who have, so far, blown games open in the 4th Quarter. The success for this story is the effectiveness of the Saints Offensive Line.

My prediction is Saints 31 - Dolphins 23.

Enjoy the game!!:woot:

I dont think this is going to be a high-scoring game. Not wishful thinking on my part, moreso speaking of past experiences.Whenever the public eye suspects a blowout of the Dolphns,it usually turns out to be the opposite. Not to mention we (oddly enough) seem to play very well against supeior opponents.Im going against my concience, and saying my Dolphins in a tight one,21-17 over the Saints

You know I was thinking 21-17 Miami also. My reasons are we pound the rock, control the clock, create a couple turn overs and it rains.(ALOT)

Saints: 35
Dolphins: 24

Saints will open up to a 14-0 lead early, and the Dolphins slowly chip away but never completely catch up.

Dolphins-35 Aints-6. After the game Brees confesses he's always wished the dolphins had picked him back in 06.

The Saints have a good defense to go with the offense. The wild cat hits a bump in the road this week and Henne will be forced to play catch up against the Saints secondary who have quite a few interceptions this season. Miami is at home and I expect that to be somewhat of a factor.

Saints 24
Dolphins 14

miami - 7
Saints - 10

Drew Brees takes the wrong connecting flight and ends up in Tampa and never makes the game, Reggie Bush forgets the switch sides rule at the end of the quarter and runs for a touchdown for miami, by handing a miami player the ball when he gets to the wrong endzone, carney accidentally makes 3pts when he thinks its a kick off during a punt, and makes it. The other 7 pts give the saints the win, thow no one remembers the saints scoring a TD, 150,000 mysteriously shows up in parcells bank account.
The dolphines never get going because there wildcat plays are mysteriously stolen, they run in circle all day. GW is seen giggling to himself the entire game.

The Saints on the road. Dolphins 2 weeks to prepare. I think you need to look at more than just stats and rankings. Brees was off against the Bills. He did ok against the Jets. Our defense is as good as the Jets. They blew out Detroit who is going to need 2-3 off seasons to recover from the lack of talent and the worst defense in the history of the NFL. The beat the Giants down but they had 2 weeks to prepare.

I see a very close game that will come down to field position and hidden yards. Play mistake free and the Phins come away with a win.

I am surprised at how many of the phin fans are pessimistic.

To me this will be like the Indy game. We will continue to grind out the wildcat with the Henne arm giving us some easy touchdowns.

Our defense will finally get it together and have a few 3 and outs to give us a chance to catch up.

Final score: Phins 34 and Saints 31.....I would take it to Vegas

Here's a stat... MIA has allowed 40+ pts in a game only 6 times since 2002 (117 games)... only twice have non divisional opponents put up 40+ on Miami and the other 4 occurrences was NYJ (2) and BUF and NE once.
