That's all folks. Bettable now at the Venetian Hotel and Casino sportsbook in Las Vegas. It's a full win less than I expected and the "juice" even favors the under. It's -110 (11 to win 10) to bet over 5 and -120 (12 to win 10) to wager under 5. That's a 30 cent cut. Other joints and major offshore books will deal a more fair 20 cent vig when their numbers are posted.

The Venetian put the odds up on May 6 and as of Sunday the Dolphin number had not changed. Not exactly much respect or any projected bounce. We would have to equal or do worse than last year's 4-12 for an over bet to lose. Five wins is a push, money refunded.

BTW, please don't ask me to make messenger bets. The casinos have cracked down on that and locals who threaten to win are always on thin ice here. At various points I've been barred from wagering at the Caesar's, Harrah's and Circus Circus sportsbooks. The big offshore outfits like Cris, Olympic and Pinnacle will have these numbers shortly, if not already. Las Vegas' McCarron International Airport operates every day.

Damn, I lost the sheet or I would post all the team over/unders. I do remember the AFC East:

* New England 11.5 over -140
* Jets 8.5 over -120
* Buffalo 7.5 flat -115

Our opening opponent, Denver, is listed at 8.5 on the season wins. The Venetian also has bettable pointspreads on the opening week slate. We are a 4.5 point home underdog to the Broncos.

I'm saying 6 wins. We need another year to extract ourselves from this morass.

I would bet all overs except NE. I think NE has 11, the Jets 10 , the Bills 8 or 9 and Miami 6.

DAMN!!!!!! o/u 5 wins! thats a lock. I bet at sportingbetusa on occasion. they dont have o/u wins in a season. i would bet several units on that one.

I am going to be in Vegas in 2 weeks time, so if the odds are still at 5 o/u then I will be putting some cash down.

Hey Awsi, you been in the new Wynn Hotle/Casino? I heard the were lines were manic to get in there when it opened.

Also, there is a bar right across from the Convention Center, Bar/ Night Club, has a Caribbean theme I think there, do you know the bartender there, as he is a huge Dolphin Fan, Mike is his name if I remember correctly.

MNFINFAN you sure love the caribbeann if there is a caribbean theme in Vegas you would be the man to find it. I am going to be in Vegas in July, (sorry we will miss each other), but i am going to check that place out.

BTW its VERY bad news that the casinos arent showing any love. Theyre just BEGGING for people to bet the over. I dont like it one bit :shakeno:

I would bet on the over, I expect at least 6. I'm hoping for 8-8, but 6 should be no problem. It's a long season.
