Since the team loves to make money by hosting numerous events it makes sense for various reasons to have a retractable roof installed at the park.

1. The marlins wont need to move/relocate, and it would prevent them from having rain delays and they could play more afternoon games under the roof during august.

2.Ability to host more indoor conventions/concerts/trade shows and make money

3.Phins could avoid playing in the rain/hurrricane-like conditions during night games.

4.Miami could bid to host the ncaa final four tournament

5.Miami could host mlb all-star game

6.Ability to host more bowl games.

7. I also believe the stadium needs field turf, since its cheaper to maintain than natural grass and you can place trap over it for indoor events.

If you're offering to spring for it, I'm sure Wayne would be more than happy to accept. Otherwise, it seems that the stadium will remain topless.

Didn't they look into it and they said it wasn't structurally possible?

For the last time, football is meant to be played outdoors in the elements. NOT in a dome on a fake surface!!!!!!! :tantrum:

INFIDEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I proclaim a Jihad or Fatwa or whatever you call them on any infidel who tries to put a roof on our stadium or have us play on turf. Man I'm still upset they moved from the Orange Bowl. And I want Flipper back

Please don't even think of doing anything that keeps the Marlins playing in our stadium, we need the Marlins gone so our kicker has grass to plant his foot on, not infield dirt.

The Dolphins already kicked out the Marlins... Move by 2010....

Think they are tired of playing Sept games in the infield

How about a retractable roof???....

I'm not sure how many of you guys, who are apposed to a roof, actually go to the games themselves. I see a lot of out of staters here commenting on this, and to be quite honest, none of you deal with the elements you speak of....

I have a story I'd like to tell you. I was highly against adding a roof in Miami when I first heard that WH was considering it. I felt just like all of you do, and that a roof would ruin our image of the game, feeling like it's fake....

Well this year I was fortunate enough to visit both Reliant Stadium / Arizona Cardinal Stadium. Let me tell you, those two stadiums are the way of the future folks. It's air conditioned, there's great food court areas, it's extremely loud, and it makes the entire football experience much more enjoyable for the fans as a result. If you've never sat through a football game in one of those stadiums, you really don't know what fun you're missing.....

I've been sitting up in the 400's for over 10 years at Phinz stadium, sweating my *** off, burning his skin off, and even so would never have dreamed / considered putting a dome / roofed stadium in Miami. That was until I visit those two stadiums.....

Trust me, if you don't go to the games, you don't know how brutal it can get in the heat / humidity down here. Being that I'm a season ticket holder, and probably will remain one for the rest of my life, I think we should highly consider building Phinz stadium in the same fashion as those two new venue's in Houston / Pheonix. Most certainly....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I certainly sweat my cohunas off everytime I go down to a game. Having a roof IMO wouldn't be so bad. Screw the "our opponents will wilt in the heat" talk. Obviously that didnt happen against Houston, Tennessee and Buffalo. Give us all a reprieve and get us better food courts

no to everything u said, we dont need another dome fake field bull****..... what we do need tho is new lights, bc that monday night game looked like a preseason game, and i see other stadiums much brighter

1.the marlins arnt staying here no matter what we put on the stadium.
2.we have the best feild in the nfl voted by the plyers we dont need feild turf

but i do agree with the rest but i would want it open most of the time like during the hot early games it gives us anadvantage
