Just to get my mind off the current get brees, get ramsey, get T.O threads. I have a story that i would like to share with all of you. First, i go to at least 3-5 fins games a year. This past year would be no different. Fins @ Buff, Fins @ Browns, and 2 games back to back in Miami (Jets @ Titans). My wife and i decided to spend new years eve in vegas. We ordered our second set of tickets from an internet site called ticketsmyway for the Titans game. This is a first, i usually get them from ebay. They were field seats(handicapped section), right behind the Fins bench, (we are not handicapped, but the tickets were available, so why not get as close to you fav team as possible right). We get to our gate, and when the person swipes our tix, the noise the littlle machine made was different from the previous 10 or so noises i heard preceding me and my wife's. My heart sank, and wouldn't you know it, my tix came up "REFUNDED". So now we have to go to gate G I believe where customer service is. Then they tell me what i had feared most (my mother paid almost 400 u.s for these for christmas btw), we were scammed.The girl in the booth said the previous week, a jets fan was scammed 1500 dollars from another site. Knowing it was not Miami's fault but our own, i was polite and asked how i could go about getting my money back, she said hold on sir i will check and see if we have any tix kicking around. I started looking for scalpers right away, not thinking i could be lucky enough. I spot a guy right away holding up 2 tix, i ask him how much. He says how many you need. I say just 2 for me and my wife. He says "Merry Christmas". HE GAVE THEM TO ME!! In a drunken stupour i throw my arms around him and almost cried, telling him what had happend, then to my amazement, my wife comes over with 2 more tix, the dolphins ticket management heard our story, since we travelled all the way from canada and all, they felt bad and gave us 3rd row endzone seats. So i did the right thing and found a scalper who was about to sell 2 tix to a guy and i said here bud, merry christmas. I have never felt so great in my life, cheers to the dolphins for looking after me like that, they didnt have to do that. Skip a week, we are in Nevada for new years. I called my mom to tell her what happend and to start getting ready to get her cash back. Low and behold, she tells me that the company that sold us the bogus tix were located in Nevada. I told her nevada was a huge state and i would never find them, WRONG. I used my hotel internet to locate this business. I swear to you all, they were a 12 dollar cab ride away from the flamingo where we were staying. Busting through their door like a madman, i see that this place is just like the movie boiler room. When i told the boss what was up, his jaw hit the ground, he thought i came all the way there to get my money back. When i threatened to call the cops, he gave my mothers credit card a full refund on the spot, i know this sounds ridiculous, but it happend and was one of the worst and best things that has ever happend to me.
