When Scott isn't hurt he plays pretty decently. He would have beaten out Morlon for his job if he hadn't gotten hurt. Twan Russel is a pretty good special teamer and you know how the phins love their special teams.

Agreed, in limited situations Galyon hasn't been a liability. No he is not a world beater, but is a very solid backup, and a very good special teams player. Russell also plays good special teams, as does Hendricks.

Wanne wants to bring in a LB to compete ag. Gaylon and Twan, just not a older veteran, but a younger vet.

did he want a vet? who would be a younger vet? it looks to me like they are just getting UFAs to compete.

• Wannstedt said the team will not pursue a veteran linebacker such as Ed McDaniel or Lee Woodall, saying the Dolphins are interested only in bringing in a young linebacker to compete with Scott Galyon and Twan Russell for a backup spot.
