I think the team will win about 7 this year and then be in playoff contention in 2006. Saban has the team on the right track, but there's still a ways to go.
 
Yep...I think we should worry about the '05 season first....I say 8-9 wins, tops.
 
8 or 9 wins this year, we will make a playoff push next year assuming all goes well.
 
I believe that we are dealing with two types of fans here. Those who are trying to think positive for the team they love (at the risk of being attacked for not being realistic) and those that are trying very hard to be realistic. I am going to try to be realistically positive. I have a feeling with moves made with the staff and new players that we are going to have a drastic improvement over last year. I know, I know, not really going out on a limb but what is not realistic about our team going 8-8. There can be no argument to the fact that we have the talent on the team to make a playoff appearance. It all seems to boil down to how they respond to the coaching staff which I have read many arguments on here for last years debacle to be blamed on the coaching. Well that problem is fixed and will most definitley result in more wins this year and a top 5 NFL team in 06. Remember I said this!!
 
You know what's weird. We go from a consistently 10 win team to having one bad season, all the while with little personnel changes. Then all of a sudden we have "a ways to go". I said this before, and I'll say it again, I think this team should have 10-12 wins. That's being realistic. Hell Pittsburgh won all those games last year with Roethlisberger, there's no reason we can't put together 10-12 wins.
