While we suffered yet another loss a the hands of the hated Jets yesterday,: I did see alot of promise in this team. We did not give up, even when there were penalties that were questionable and some that never were. If this was last years team, the game would have been over at halftime!!! Most impressive was the play of both TEs!! Fasano & Martin both stepped up yesterday!! It's good to know that we have them to fall back on while the WRs become more involved in the offense (if that can happen at all?) Pennington was great, especially while dealing with a pass rush in his face all day. Back to the drawing board for the offensive line!!!! Merling & Langford were outstanding, now I have no doubts that these two rookies will be able to lead this defensive line for the next 5-7 years (hopefully). The secondary actually didn't fair to bad either!!! Just one blown coverage for a TD and a prayer of a pass, on 4th & mile for another (that should have never been, should have been a delay of game on Favre, he didn't snap the ball until approx. 2-3 seconds after play clock expired!!!) BULL****!! actually this happened on three occasions yesterday!!:sidelol: Damn REFS!!!But other then those two plays, I thought the secondary played OK!!! :err: But, the most disturbing of all is having the ball 1st and goal at the 2 yd line and not being able to punch it in on 4 tries!!! SAD!!! Sparano needs to utilize Ronnie & Ricky more as well. 23 touches between the both of them is NOT enough!!! This team will only go as far as Ronnie & Ricky can take them, if they're not used we don't win!!! Plain & SIMPLE!! All in all, although we lost, I still came away with a pretty good feeling about this years team. Basically the Jets escaped Miami with that win!! If they play that bad next time and we get some penalties cleaned up and the offensive line tightens up, the JETS will lose. GO 'PHINS !!!!!
