American Airlines dropped the Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars while United Airlines dropped the Bills and Lions. The airlines dropped the teams because they can make more money flying those planes commercially.

Teams have been forced to scramble to secure charters with other smaller companies that don't have as many planes. The move has teams concerned about potential issues getting to games if there are any mechanical issues with their primary aircraft. The NFL lets each team handle its travel arrangements individually.

Meanwhile the Pats own their planes.

Ross cant afford a team jet?

Sure he can! You can buy a used 767 like the Pats did for cheap. New interior is the big cost the truck is to get one that's engines do not require major overhaul.

When Pitbull was being interviewed on Howard Stern last year, Howard asked him about his expensive lifestyle, and Pitbull said something that always stuck with me...

"If it ****s, flys, or floats...rent it"

As he went on to explain, full time relationships, planes, and boats, were all too expensive to maintain long term, and that his money was better spent elsewhere. This, I imagine, is why we don't have a team plane.

I always thought we had a team jet.

Interesting how the Pats got out ahead of this issue...almost like they saw it coming.

They saw an opportunity to buy a 767 and the cost of acquiring it was inline with what they pay for charters. Honestly for 10 games a year it doesn't make sense for an NFL team to own a plane. That said I am not even sure the Pats bought that plane, they could be leasing it.

We have, or used to have an executive jet. I remember seeing it often parked at the St. Augustine Airport. It was not a team plane.

Steven Ross is more than capable of handling this situation. Do they deserve a private jet? No but I guess that it would be considered protocol.

Just make the players book their own travel until they start winning
