we moved up a couple spots this week. just need to work on passing offense and defense. were getting the lines solidified.

nice, very very nice...OL&DL are getting there....

Keep in mind you've faced the 25th, 27th, and 28th ranked run defenses. The best run defense you've faced is the Colts (16th) and they never adjusted to the wildcat or stacked the box. It was almost like they wanted you to run ... maddening.

You've also faced the 25th, 29th, 32nd ranked rushing teams. The Bills were the highest at 14th.

Obviously part of those rankings is because of the games against the Dolphins, but those are some pretty skewed rankings at this point of the season.

whats your excuse going to be after the dolphins annhilate the jets at the lines?

If they do then I'll give the fins credit.

I think you'll be able to slow the Jets run game down as it hasn't been very potent. I do not think you'll be able to run on us much though.

Do you disagree that those stats are skewed at this point? I mean look at the rankings of the teams you've faced.

i don't know about that...i believe that if our Center Jake Grove can handle Jenkins 1-1,then i believe that our 2 Guards Justin Smiley&Donald Thomas can get out there in space and be able to handle your LBers, thereby allowing our running game to go anywhere we wanna go with it...up ur gut,run left, run right....and i also believe we can and will do this successfully....but that's just me...

Willie has it right......well 50% right.

He makes a good point citing we faced no really prolific rush offense. The only team we have played with an actual running game has been the Falcons. The good news is we completely shut them down. The Colts are a pass first team and no one can blame them. The bolts only had Sproles who is not a between the tackles runner. The Bills are halfway hopeless on the offensive side of the ball. So our rush defense is definately skewed high. Altough the rush defense was Top 10 last year, I actually believe we got worse against the rush.

While I do not think we are truly the #1 Running O in the game, I do believe the Dolphins are very good. The boxes were stacked (minus the Colts game) but the Dolphins were still able to produce. As big of an opponent as I was of it during the offseason, the Wildcat is looking especially dangerous.

There is no doubt the game against the great defense of the Jets with a rookie QB will undoubtedly test our running game. At least we don't have to worry about Revis locking down a #1 WR. Whoever he is on is basically a waste of his talent.

The Jets O line will challenge our rush defense. I personally do not think Thomas Jones is good but Leon is lightning in a bottle.

Woah

If Grove can handle Jenkins one on one you have a good shot, but no mortal man can block Jenkins one on one when he's healthy. Maybe a play here or there, but over the course of a game Jenx will win a very high percentage of 1on1 battles.

He's right Jenkins may be the best NT in the league. If Grove can handle him 1v1 all game induct him into the ring of honor.

Maybe I'm underestimating the fins run game. I know you have a good run game, but I don't think it's #1. I also think Rex has the kryptonite for the wildcat. At least last years version.

Will he be able to stop this years version is to be seen, but I'm pretty confident. He has better corners than last year, but a downgrade at safety. That safety will likely be in the box all game unless it's an obvious passing down. Rhodes doesn't suck either, he's just not Ed Reed. No one is though.

I thought a Fins fan on tgg said it best earlier. The game will probably come down to which young QB plays better.

this is going to be a good game!!! think we will be able to run on you guys.. but.. with the way the lines are starting to play on both sides of the ball i am getting excited.. if we can get to sanchez and limit the big play then i think this game will be ours.. but.. if not.. going to be a really long night..lol
