Did you know these 11 cuts/trades/releases leagues the NFL so far thru free agency by a single team? No other team has removed this many players from thier last years roster.

We have whacked 5 offensive linemen(counting R McMichael) and 3 RBs if you count Barnes, 9 of the below 11 are offense. It is clear what we can expect in this years NFL draft...a good injection of youth to our offensive squad. Im excited.

Bennie Anderson, OL; Kevin Carter, DE (TB); Joey Harrington, QB; Jeno James, G; Eric Kimble, WR; Damion McIntosh, T (KC); Seth McKinney, OL; Randy McMichael, TE (STL); Sammy Morris, RB (NE); Wes Welker, WR (NE); Dan Wilkinson, DT (DEN)

I think this is a good move ,of course some of our bretheren will be saying draft defense. the only two positions on defense is dt and olb.
my main concern is te, rb wr, and oline the qb can be drafted next year plus we can always get Sage (the big guns ) rosenfelds to bring excitement to pro player stadium.

That kinda makes me uneasy.... but I remember when Jimmy Johnson came on years back, there were alot of players gone.... especially noteworthy being Troy Vincent (a godsend after a history or awful cornerbacks).
I remember watching Jason Taylor as a rookie during a pre-season game saying... our starting DE is 240lbs!?!?!?!
So I'm hoping good things are to come!!! (As long as we keep Zach and JT!)

so does this mean another year of oline troubles through the first 6 games?

Both should come late in the draft because OLB is set at starter(Porter) as is DT(Traylor, Evans, Rod Wright).

Offense should definitely take priority though BPA is never a bad way to draft. For instance, if Alan Branch is on the board and he has the best value, take him. I'd shop him around first to see if St. Louis(desperate for DL) or Pitt(looking for a 4/3-3/4 NT) wants to come up in a trade but if not, pull the trigger.

So we're keeping our defence plus adding a great player to it and we're changing the guys on offence which is the way to go...we'll sign a couple of more guys and then on draft day it'll be mostly offence with 2 or 3 guys on defence if that.

Ozzy rules!!

Everyone chant:

We numba 1, we numba 1, we numba 1, we numba 1,
we numba 1, we numba 1, we numba 1 we numba 1

THEY SHOT ME IN DEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could see us going defense with the first choice, NT with one of the other day one picks. The other two will probably go to the offense if not combined to get Kalil. Then the second day it's a mixed bag.

By the way expect Stallworth to be signed along with Schlesigner and a veteran guard so the offensive needs won't look too bad by then.

Yea,,,,Remember how skinny JT looked his rookie year?
I thought then all he would be,is a 3rd down rusher.

You have to purge the deadweight as much as you can. The Jets did the same last year and crawled back to the Wild Card.

Buy into the system and produce, or get whacked. I like a little accountability and selectivity. Especially from a franchise that has had 3 consecutive losing seasons. It's about time we started turning over the roster a little.

Wow, i never realized that. Good post. It goes to show we mean buisness when we say the *new* Miami Dolphins. I think this is exactly what this team needed. A shake up in the roster. It beats expecting the best with the same old roster.
