I care about winning football games not childish media verbal battles.

The whole thing was pointless and they both need to grow up.

I don't think he needs to add fuel to the fire.... Rex and Crowder should both shut up and let the talking happen on the field. I also disagree with all the **** that Jason Taylor had to say about NY and its fans... He's lucky Parcells even wanted his *** back with the crap that happened over dancing with the stars.

It is nice to see that coming from a Jets fan. Everyone knows that you earn respect by proving it on the field. It's always been that way. Ryan is making himself the whole organization look foolish. Now they have to win the division or be the but of jokes for the rest of the season. And that's with what he's said so far, it's only June, who knows what could fly out of his mouth once training camp starts.

It's going to get worse I'm afraid.... If he does pull it off, he'll look like the savior but just remember that the Jets had a pretty good defense last year which crapped out due to mangini's conservative play calling.
 
Rex Ryan was running around making Super Bowl predictions for his Jets, and well, Channing Crowder took offence.

Actually I went to the Jets Insider and a surprisingly large percentage of the fans didn't like the talk.

Whoverfe wrote this "article" should ckecj their facts. rex wasn't running around making SB predctions, his quote was something like "I am not going to kiss Bill Belichciks rings" meaning he wasn't afraid to go head to head w/ NE which should be the mindset of every coach. Most teams are intimidated by the Pats, he is setting a mindset that the jets will not be going forward. What is wrong w/ that?

THEN Crowder made his statement as if he knows what winning games in January feels like. Rex has been on a SB winning staff, maybe June is an important tool for getting that far?

To answer your question- YES we are proud of him. We love him so far but his teams have to back him up. That love can turn real fast if he doesn't win. Do I think a HC should be talking so much? probably not BUT I want him to be who he is, he's a confident guy who talks alot. We knew that when he was hired. This book will not be written for a while, if his teams win he'll be a God but if not he'll never coach in the NFL again. Why don't we let time tell us this rather than make proclamations off of some playful back and forth in June?
