As the clock ticks inexorably toward the final play of the 2017 season for the Miami Dolphins, rumors and questions are swirling about the team and its players and coaches.

Will stud WR Jarvis Landry, who has often been left to try and win games all by himself this season, be resigned? Will TE's Julius Thomas and Anthony Fasano, return?

Will offensive linemen Ju 'Wuan James and Mike Pouncey, be back? Will soon to be 36-year-old defensive end Cameron Wake be retained?

Will head coach Adam Gase continue to call the team's offensive plays? Before we decide that Gase will absolutely continue to call the plays, I have some numbers for you: a 1-3 record, 16 points and 300 yards per game -- Kansas City's offensive numbers the last four games in which head coach Andy Reid called the plays. 3-1, 29 points and 421 yards per game -- their numbers the past four weeks, after Reid delegated the play calling to Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy.

Why pay a guy to be a coordinator if you're not going to let him coordinate? Of course, that second set of numbers is somewhat skewed, because one of those games was against Miami. The Dolphin defense is always easy pickings for opposing players looking for Pro Bowl votes. Which members of Miami's 'D' will be 'posterized' this weekend against Buffalo?

Your thoughts?

I think Landry is gone unless his asking price comes down. Julius Thomas is gone--we should keep Fasano he's a decent #2. Let Pouncey go unless he takes a paycut same thing for Ja'Waun James.

We have to keep Wake he's the only one who gives us almost 10 sacks a year. Suh needs to take a payout too if not i am ok with cutting him and that ridiculous contract. I know they can't/won't but i wish they would cut Kiko and Koa Misi.

Id let wake go unless it's cost effective. We need a de who makes game changing plays and i didn't see too much of that this year. No sacks in last four games is an indicator.

Suh dead cap $$ if cut 22 million..he isn't going anywhere

I expect a 50 % turnover of this roster by the time we start the 2018 season.thats about 26 plus new players.

I can guarantee that Suh and his over $20 million in dead cap
will be a Miami Dolphin in 2018

Didn't he have a sack against Buffalo

That is high considering the amount of crappy players we have tied up until next year.

That seems high considering the amount of youth already on the backend.

I'd go under 20.

Yup. Returning starters, too expensive to cut, ST aces, projected quality backups . . . All return. 20, probably less.

LaConfora, he is like James Walker, btw Walker called it quits today.
Going to work for a CPA firm
I guess the hand writing is on the wall; more and more bloggers are so diluting the "sports media" it's tough for a professional journalist to earn a paycheck.
