How would you feel if the dolphins drafted in the second round as follows?

32-Dan Connor ILB of Penn State
57-Chad Henne QB of Michigan

I could see us drafting a DB but i think we have to address the ILB position i dont beleive that Crowder is the long term answer. I also dont think there is going to be a DB that is good enough for us to pass on Connor if he is available. Plus when we do convert to a full time 3-4 defense i wouldnt mind seeing connor and crowder in the middle.

Let me know what you think...

he could be and thats a good point. i think the last LB to come out of Penn State and have a impact in nfl was lavar arrington (who had injury problems) because Posluzny didnt play enough this past year to say otherwise. but Jack ham did come out of Penn state and he had a HOF career. but who am i fooling that was decades ago.
 
No to CHad Henne, I want a tackle at that spot and at 3 i want a Cb
 
I would very disappointed. After we select Chris Long , we will need to go with a Tackle like Gosder Cherilus from Boston College. Then I would go with Curtis Lofton the ILB from Oklahoma. To me he is a more complete package then Connor.

Penn State is not 6'3" and 231 pounds. Dan Connor is. Penn State did not run the forty in 4.67 seconds, have a vertical jump of 35", or bench 225 lbs. twenty ones times. Dan Connor did.'

NFL Draft Scout has this guy ranked as the 13th best prospect and number 1 at the LB position. Whether you agree or not if he makes it to us at the 1st pick of the second round I think we take him. He is who I have wanted with this pick from the get go. Amazingly the majority of mock drafts don't have him going until round two.

I'd really like Connor and Henne....
I've watched every Penn State game over the past few years and I think he will be very good, but overall I think Posluzny was better.
I think Connor is very instinctive and will continue to get better. There have been other PSU linebackers that have done well...Brandon Short, Arrington was great in the right defense when not injured, Posluzny (his younger brother signed with Notre Dame) should have a breakout year.
I'd be happier if Henne slipped into another round, but he i gonna make some teams squad and I wouldn't be surprised if he soon becomes a very good starter for some team in this league
 
Interesting picks at those spots, but unless all the decent CB's are gone, I can't imagine we are going to go through the first two rounds without grabbing one CB. So we either better get another pick or I just don't see one of those two being our second round picks.
 
I like Dan Conner. I would like to see him fall to us at 32 but that may not happen. He would be a great LB. Kinda reminds me of a younger Zach .

As for hennie i say no thanks. He was Ok in Mich but dont think he will be a quality QB.
 
I would love to get Dan Connor in the 2nd but i am not a huge fan of Chad Henne's i think we may need to go OT or DE/OLB at that postion

I was Watching ESPN one day and they said pretty much the same thing they said that Dan Connor Plays like a Bigger Zach thomas

I would be happier if we took Connor and a OT, even if we drafted Jake Long #1 overall.
 
i would rather see 1: Chris Long, 2a: Gosder Cherilus, 2b: Joe Flacco or Chad Henne (in that order) 3: best available LB.
