Dolphins A Long Shot At 45-1 To Win Superbowl

well we're not winning that's all... 10-6 would be huge with making the playoffs with our customary 1st round exit... Miami and SB are a long ways away I fear -- maybe not but mostest likely yep.

A good draft makes us a consistent playoff team.

A lockout in 2011......messes everything up.

I think the fact the superbowl is now the most watched program in tv history, helps prevent a lockout.

I'm driving to Vegas tomorrow and placing my bet!!

Sounds about right. And in this economy, I wouldn't be willing to risk $1 on that because this team isn't getting it done next season.

vegas loves the past, they are not very good about the future, they sure didnt get the two superbowl teams right,

We're almost there, but i think were about 3 years away...but i really feel that 2 or 3 years from now we'll be good enough to make a superbowl run....I hope to God anyway...I've been waiting 18 years and still no superbowl...ugh

But Henne will get us there.

Not next year though lol

Lock it in now because if we have even a average free agency period and draft the odds will go down.

They are good at estimating probability at a given point in time. A fan version would certainly contain more errors, points of weakness, due to overreaction.

Futures odds are poor investment this far removed. There's so much uncertainty and that is built into the line. Every team is a rip off, lower than it should be.

The idea is to grab when the odds are in your favor and have not been adjusted. I used to camp out at the window when a specific price was available, waiting for a result to make it even more valuable. Prime example was Denver defeating Jacksonville in their second Super Bowl year. That win locked up home field. Harrah's still listed Denver at 3/1 to win the AFC. As top seed, that was a gift. I made the bet as soon as the Denver/Jacksonville game was all but wrapped up. The sportsbook manager wasn't thrilled to give me 3 dimes on a prop like that but he okayed it after a little bit of hesitation. I had some good will in there because I'd refunded some money to a ticket writer when she mistakenly overpaid me $200.

That was the year Denver overcame the 10 point deficit to the Jets in the AFC Title Game.

Dolphins might be a decent over bet on season wins. I would guess it would be in the 8-8.5 range.
