Dolphins add former assistant GM

I'm a little confused. I get the Grier hate many here have and I can understand 'anyone is better than Grier,' but a guy "who has interviewed for multiple GM jobs across the league in recent years" and apparently not seen as capable is the potential savior of the Fins? That sounds much like the same logic FH heaps on the FO for hiring recent HCs.
I have no idea if Kelly would be great or not but 'he's not Grier' isn't much of a defense.
Agreed until I see record of player evaluations nobody means **** to me in that industry

Lol

😂 Mckenzie ain’t no dummy and can see the ineptitude of this organization and how its run. He left to go work with the Titans new GM, Mike Borgonzi, who came from a winning organization like the chiefs. McKenzie probably sees the writing on the wall and where this train is heading with the Dolphins!

Then you have Barry Jackson, spinning this like the Dolphins got a find in Kelly, who “is very well respected”. 😂

Some of you guys, who blindly agree with anything a reporter says, or better yet, what the Dolphins front office does, reminds me of the Judge in Law Abiding Citizen, where Clyde just makes up case law to get bail and the judge blindly agrees! 😂 Judge “Excuse me!” Clyde “No, I don’t think I will excuse you!!” 😂 😂
If he thinks it’s a **** show then he could be next in line for a job if he stayed

Guess he can say the same even though he went to Tennessee

The issue I believe is nobody out there is doing proper analytics on these scouts and Gm’s

And you know better than "Everyone Else". 😂😂😂😂
I said some, not all.

You need to post tweets from Barry Jackson in order to rally the fan base or to get likes from the homers? The Miami reporters are always going to spin something in a positive light because they need to for people to read their pieces they print.

This team is not good nor has it been good since Grier took over. They cannot beat winning teams nor can they win games when it matters. I will be optimistic when the Dolphins give me a reason to be, when they start winning playoff games!!

why would he want to stay if Grier is just Ross’s puppet? Or maybe Grier isn’t listening to his recommendations?

I would rather work for Borgonzi who has come from a winning organization rather than gamble, waiting around to maybe take over a failed regime, which

Not sure about your interpretation of my posting of tweets, from reporters. But I'll make this very clear. I do it for Finheaven. No other reasons. Tweets can be very informative. Just as very insiteful opinions from the members here on Finheaven.

True I’m sure he knows more than us

I’m not sure I like this at all I mean, just look at the Raiders there are a team with horrible talent depth and wins

I know. He helped build the chiefs and bills as I said

Why does everyone seem happy about this? The guy has been a part of every loser organization there is!! Am i the only one not feeling this hire??
Denver, Chicago, and Las Vegas...that is every loser organization there is? Cleveland and Jets fans will be relieved to know that.

He scouted or oversaw the scouting of college players. Not the KC Asst GM. As you had said. Still important jobs though. I like his resume' at least as much as Champ Kelly's.

So, being a minority hire (and I hate that term) do Miami receive any benefits re draft picks?

The comp picks only go to the team that lost him, if the hiring included a promotion. I doubt the NFL has rolled back those DEI policies as other companies have done, so this hire helps Vegas. I think they get a 3rd round comp pick for it?

Edit: At least that's how I remember it.
