Dolphins Admit Disappointment With Wilford

I guess we no know why Jville had no problem letting him walk. Remember how everyone was calling Matt Jones a waste. Matt Jones 16 catches and Wilford is sitting behind Greg Camirrilo with 1 catch.

Other free agent receivers we could have had

Bryant Johnson 10 receptions
Antonio bryant 13 receptions
DJ Hackett 8 receptions
Brandon loyd 13 receptuions
Rashied Davis 8 receptions
Ashly Lelie has 5 receptions
Justin Gage has 7 receptions

And in the performing like everyone thought Ginn would

Lets not even mention that Desean Jackson already has 17 receptions as a rookie.

Wilford has been awful up to this point and there is no excuse for him not being able to start on this team. So much for his blocking if he is on the bench.

And if only beforehand, I could have known last Sat nite's FL Lotto Pick 6 #'s paying $38MM, today I'd be agonizing over which bank is solvent enough to park it - or maybe I could have predicted that too? :boohoo:

Just comparing his production to other free agents geesh. I lobbied for Bryant Johnston from Az. I liked Wilford as a low budget guy but somehow we decided to make him a mid budget guy. I like him at like a couple mill a year but twice that makes him a slug.

Wilford has time to step up his game. But if he doesnt, hes gone after this season

Gone or not so far he is just another waste of money. Him not playing well I could live with. Him not being able to at least start and have him as a blocker is pitiful considering the state of our receivers

Brandon London will be our starter by week 8. And he will do great. You heard it here first.

I just don't see how he can be THAT bad. Does he drop everything in practice or what? He isn't noticably bad when he's on the field. If he ovbiously can't get open or block, I haven't noticed.

This whole thing is weird to me. I've never heard a Gm call a free agent acquistion a bust after 3 games, 1 of which he sat out.

Wilford wasn't a great player in Jacksonville, he was just alright and happened to make some clutch catches. I don't know why we were expecting him to come in and be our savior.

Not a savior by any means. I don't think anyone thought that. However, Jax was a running team, in the low amounts of time he was passed to, he caught almost everything and his 1st down % was high. I think people thought we had a good, big possesion receiver. For what ever reasons, he has had the dropsies.
