Dolphins all business for game in London

That's awesome to rent out the Tower of London. I hadn't heard that story. More respect for Huizenga. I'm surprised he didn't try to patch the place.

I remember my knees buckling the first time I took a tour of Tower of London. The guides are quite detailed and animated in their versions of all the beheadings. Some tourists were roaring but I was kind of queasy. This may not be the ideal time to mention that, but it's what they talk about. I don't doubt that it's removed from the tours right now, or at least softened.

Maybe a trip to Whitechapel would be a superior option. Jack the Ripper was supposedly identified a couple of weeks ago. Just make sure to stay away from the photo of that final victim, Mary Jane Kelly. That's another one that made me cringe. I couldn't wait to get to Ireland and the heritage of nothing but camaraderie.

So you brought him to the Dolphins...

I understand but really no one was asking for your approval and the games are always sold out over here and we love having meaningful games here and seeing the game grow this side of the pond.. as a fan since SB XVII do you know how much grief I have had to put up with liking this game over 'soccer'.. a game I detest.. I am so thankful for these games and the new fans that have emerged even amongst my friend base .. I am happy to go to every game the NFL put on over here in London for as long as they are able to find clubs willing to come across.

The comments by Satele annoy the hell out of btw.. we are still learing the game.. Miami is one of the better supported franchises in the UK and has had fans since before Marino.. me included.. many many brits have a great knowledge of the game actually.. just cos we dont live in America does not mean we are stupid and uneducated in this game.

The season is too short to be dicking around with a teams fate. This is actually a huge advantage for the Dolphins because its basically like taking away a road game but I don't care. The Raiders have been screwed out of a home game, of which they have only 8. For a fringe playoff contender that has a real home field advantage it could be the difference between getting a playoff game or not.

Send a lot more preseason games and maybe even the Super Bowl once in a while (yeah right) but the season is too short and there is too much at stake.

Oakland's colors are black and white . No scenic pictures for them :chuckle:

With Oakland supposedly being designated as "home" team, does that mean they wear their black jerseys and get the other choices that home teams get over here? It seems like we are getting more "attention" as if we were the featured team.

Miami has the bigger following and is a 'cleaner cut' team historically than the faiders....

There will always be nay sayers... the issue is teams want to come.. the UK and the rest of Europe love having meaninful games as opposed to crummy pre season games that not even the US fans are bothered with and we sell out each game regardless of the teams record or performance.. unlike Miami home games where the 'fans' cant even be bothered to show in force week after week.. along with fans from teams all over the NFL.... in truth if games sell, teams want to come and the NFL makes your mighty green back then as a nay sayer you are on the losing side and frustrating yourself with your own annoyance and sense of unfairness at it. Finally season ticket holders over in the US of the teams coming here get good deals on making the trip.. after all the teams want their home base to be included and in support... many take it as an incorporated holiday and may be the only time they ever get to go abroad...

I know a lot of you guys disagree with these games, and I understand your point of view.

BUT, from a selfish point of view I am so excited and thrilled to be watching my team on Sunday.

It doesn't exactly come at a good time for the team, we're playing like crap, have question marks over the coaching and the QB position, I would have loved us to come in 2-1 or 3-0 and playing well, but it's not to be. For now, this gets put aside.

I have followed this team since the mid 80s having watched the '84 championship game highlights against the Steelers and been mesmerised by Marino and the Marks brothers, and the incredible plays they made. I soon fell in love with the sport and have followed it and Miami ever since. I remember the sense of confusion and disappointment a year later when we somehow lost in the Orange bowl against the Patriots, and the team has basically been a wreck in the 30 years since then, but the hooks were in and they still run deep.

These days the coverage in the UK is excellent. I watch every single Fins game live, and have access to pretty much any other game I want to watch. The sport in the UK grew a following in the 80s and the Dolphins as a result are very well supported over here. Interest waned a bit on the 90s, but the last 10 years or so have seen a big resurgence in NFL fandom on the UK. As stated, every single game has sold Wembley out, up to 3 this season. The Dolphins and Raiders are both well supported over here, I'd bet there will be over 25,000 fans rooting for the Fins in there on Sunday, we'll try and not let you down.

This Sunday I GET TO WATCH MY TEAM IN THE FLESH FOR THE FIRST EVER TIME!!!! I am so friggin stoked.

I disagree with these games and think the idea of a team in the UK is ridiculous, but **** principles when it means the fins play here and it Oakland that misses a game lol
