#dolphins Announce The Signing Of Te Mike Gesicki

Mike Gesicki - TE - Dolphins
Dolphins signed second-round TE Mike Gesicki to a four-year contract.

Beat writers noted Gesicki struggled at OTAs, but he built momentum with a strong minicamp in June. On a barren tight end depth chart, only fully grasping Adam Gase's playbook stands in the way of Gesicki earning a Week 1 starting job.

If Ryan Tannehill is the one driving this team, this kid should be riding shotgun.

Parker, Amedonla and Grant squeeze in the back, Wilson might have to sit in trunk.

Kenyan Drake rides with OL.

I love how pumped so many fans are despite the crazy predictions that we will be picking top 5.

We pick 11th in a DOWN year.

Bring it.

Not surprising, but welcome. Now back to your regularly scheduled playbook learning. Seriously … get back to studying … you get 3 types of breaks a day, meals, weight room, and grooming/conjugal visits … this is none of the 3, so get your nose back in that playbook mister! We'll interview you again once preseason starts. Oh yeah, and there will be a playbook quiz.

I don't think it's as barren as people think. Gesicki, Smyth, Gray, Derby and Escobar will be in the hunt. Gesicki might be the only one with the potential to be special, but as a whole I like the group. I don't see Duarte challlenging the top 5, but I wouldn't be surprised if he even shows some improvment. Looking forward to seeing the full depth chart on offense and defense in preseason. At this point I would like to add higher caliber 4th running back, not sold on Radcliff, Perry or Howell as a roster player. Of the three back Perry has the most experience, Radcliff has tough running style for his size and Howell is the local kid does good story. Which them all luch, but I still think Miami's 4th back is currently on another roster or currently unemployeed
